We had our wedding at Payogan Resort in March 2017.....was everything we wanted and more. The staff were so friendly and could not do enough for us. The wedding surroundings and set up in the gardens was amazing. The wedding dinner was beautiful and more than enough........cocktails to die for.
Thank you Payogan for making our special day a day to remember forever. We will be back for our 1st year anniversary.....the villas were perfect.

Such a beautiful property. Stayed in a villa with private pool. If youre not up for walking they had a cart that will take you to your villa. Very spacious villa and nice view from pool area. Staff were super nice. The restaurant was overpriced and only mediocre. It's about 20mins outside Ubud town center but they offer a free shuttle multiple times a day.

We stayed here as the last 5 days of a 3 week trip in South East Asia in June and couldn't have asked for a more peaceful, serene and idyllic setting. The grounds were stunning, and our villa and private pool were perfect for our family of 4. The communal pool was also beautiful, in a beautiful setting, but we never actually used it. The meals were delicious and all in a beautiful environment, overlooking the pool, valley and hillsides.
The overall service of the resort was also great, and we utilized the hotel driver several times to take us on excursions.

Would definitely love to stay here again.

Interesting to say the least. Our first room flooded in a heavy storm on day 1 (it was wet season in January) and we were moved to an upgrade and more modern room. Our family of five was in a two room, two bathroom villa with infinity pool. Beautiful room, beautiful views and great place to see Ubud and surrounding places of interest.

Breakfast was included and very good with fruit, eggs, pastries and juices on offer. Wifi only in the lobby ended up a blessing as we were able to unplug and relax. Some of the rooms are a little tired and need constant upkeep. That's the downside of accommodation in a forest. Mould and mildew creep up on you and acres of garden need constant care. The staff were wonderful, accommodating and able to help in any way possible. Our flight home was delayed so we booked into our third room so we could stay another day. Being able to see 3 different family rooms was a great way to see the place.

Would return in a heart beat. Approx 7-8 Aussie dollars for a taxi into nearby Ubud about 5kms away.

Room Tip: Infinity pools are the go!

This place is in desperate need of maintenance and an upgrade. Bathrooms smell. Stone baths that are mouldy and in desperate need of a pressure wash and good scrub. No wifi in the villas and painfully slow in the lobby area.
The restaurant food is not good with the exception of breakfast which is ok only.
There are dozens of staff standing around with little or no direction or management. This place smacks of poor or no training for staff, they were all lovely, but it's all the little things that you expect from a resort when you're paying as much as they charge.
Slippery and dangerous paving/stones around the main pool. All covered in algae and needing a pressure wash.
Dirty dishes from previous guest left in "clean" room when we moved villas as our first one had dirty bathroom and wasn't a proper two bedroom villa as booked.
Poor quality restaurant food.
A shuttle to town that runs at 10am and the not until 2pm. With so many staff standing around, why wouldn't you run it hourly?

The setting is stunning, but we won't be returning.
