i choose this hotel at first because there is no more room at Java Paragon at this period. i got executive suite for US$90 or RP.900.000,-. the receptionist was great, the bell man friendly and give us clear explanation about the hotel. the room is not so large for executive standard with living room, one king size bed, one bath room with shower and bathtub. the room is OK. Lil bit old and need maintenance.the room is so clean but smell like and old wood.everything is so so until we got breakfast in the morning.we got break fats at 6.30..the restaurant crowded already..but no waitress/waiter...nobody give the guest a service. no one offering you coffee or tea...there is 3 waitress&waiter but they are busy talking and laughing together...the egg corner ready so late like 7 am in the morning.really bad breakfast experience.the swimming pool was large but the water not so clean better you avoid to swim on it. the fitness center hidden, small and seems broken.i don't recommended this hotel to anybody.better you choose JAVA PARAGON to stay in Surabaya. its so much better

An Ex Hilton hotel still in good shape with wonderful Resort type of layout. Suite configuration with very spacious rooms .

Shall recommend the Executive suite .

Though the maintenance is not top class, yet the hotel maintains its charm.

Very large pool and good fitness centre.
Hotel has an exclusive veggie menu and food quality is good.

As a whole very good value for money . Having stayed at Sher, JWM and others, shall recommend this is the best choice. Though a little away from the main business district, yet worth the stay.

This Hotel is good, i also invited friends to stay there. Since we were staying in Ramadhan, probably not too much can say, since every Bars have to close before 12 am. But, we still can swim on the pool,in a hot Weather in Surabaya, and was drinking beers as weel... enjoy our converstion. And the room, is just great. Clean and tidy. It's a room with a living room. I will definetely come back to stay there, since it's reachable only 20 minutes from Airport (if you can said to the Taxi driver, go through Jambangan, Gayungsari)), not too feel traffic, rather than staying in a middle of the town, closed to plazas.

I & my family stayed in this hotel in Dec 05, love the hotel as the rooms are big and clean, the pool is one of the largest amongst hotels in Surabaya. The breakfast is quite various, service is excellent. This hotel is one of two semi-resort hotels in Surabaya, the other is Novotel. I think Novotel is better the Hilton but Hilton price is cheaper then Novotel which make it a good option. Unlike other Hilton hotels in Indonesia which are five star hotels, Hilton Surabaya is a four star hotel.

I was attracted to stay at this hotel due to its low rate ( less than USD50/= a night! ). Upon arrival, I was shocked at the condition. It was old and worn out and not maintained. The rooms are dimly lit and very dirty with no amenities. The bed smell.

I hardly see any guest checking in. Hotel claims it is a Hilton but I doubt it. Upon checking in and seeing this condition, I check out immediately and went to stay at the Shangri-La instead.

Avoid this hotel at all cost.
