I was looking for a quiet fuss free ,frills free place to chill and relax with my son and old friend. I researched on several vacation platforms and found that Bintan Pearl Beach Resort was up and coming. Small number of rooms, 24 rooms, equates to less maddening crowd and more tranquility. I got what I expected during my experience of 3 days n 2 nights in March 2017 at the resort.

The infinity pool was great but I hope steps r built to accommodate the going in and out of the pool easily.
The food was nicely priced and delicious. The menu was simple and the variety was enough for a simple eater like me. My favourite was the fried bananas with chocolate sauce and cheese! Try it!
The staff was polite and respectful. I have a son who like to interact with people, they love chatting with him! He was very happy when they called him by name. Our requests online and offline were met promptly.

The beach was out of bounds as the waters r rather choppy and low tide means lots of sea weed floating around. Nevertheless, we played along the coast and the view was breathtaking.

My son, my friend and I spent all our time at the pool, beach and room. We didnt take the shuttle bus to the city because we were so happy with the facilities to chill.

I hope Bintan Pearl Beach Resort stays calm and peaceful during our next visit. I cant wait to chill at this resort again!

We arrived by boat from Singapore and were met at the ferry terminal without any problems. On arrival at the hotel about an hour later we were greeted with a welcome drink and check in was smooth. The staff were courteous and attentive at all times. The hotel is open plan and has a magnificent view of the sea across an infinity pool. The pool is big enough however had no steps or ladders. Given that it was the same 1.2 metre depth all over this made getting out elegantly a bit of a challenge. The rooms are large and all have seaviews. Housekeeping need to sharpen up as there were items missed each day. Glasses not cleaned, towels not replaced. Only little things but they make a difference. The restaurant menu is limited and needs some thought. A week here and you would be craving for a change. The drinks menu does not include wine or spirits and cocktails are also out. Beer, fruit juice or hot drinks is pretty much it. This may change in April when the rooftop bar opens. The beach is right in front of the hotel and was swept daily. We enjoyed a walk along the beach to Bintan beach club where you can do watersports. There's a free shuttle bus regularly throughout the day to the Bintan Agro, a sister hotel where theres a lot more going on and also 2 restaurants with extensive menus. All in all we had a good stay.

Hotel is located on the east coast of Bintan, around an hour from Tanjung Pinang ferry terminal. Free shuttle collected us on arrival as agreed. Resort is not properly finished, i.e. rooftop bar not open yet, some furnishings in the common areas yet to be installed. Place in general is nice, pool is good overlooking the beach and rooms have great balconies overlooking the ocean. In windy season now and it's very windy all through the hotel due to the open design. Overall pretty good considering it's a new place
