This was our second visit to Umana, our first dinner. The setting is warm and inviting. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive. Food is delicious and beautifully plated!

WE LOVED Umana!!! The atmosphere was great and the food even better! My first Ethiopian dining experience and what a treat! LOVED the 'Umana Sampler' plate--Cumin Sweet Potato Fritters were awesome!

This place is delicious! My friend and I split the delicious goat cheese appetizer, the friday night Ethiopian special, and fried plantains. Everything was delicious! And our waitress gladly brought us more injera for free when we ran out. This place has a great vibe and interior. I will definitely be back.

Nice place with a different look for Albany. Pleasant, slightly slow service. Thai style calamari appetizer with spiced chili garlic sauce was tasty. Southern fried chicken was standard fare, nothing special. Accompanying Moroccan slaw was chewy rather than crisp and lacked any flavor to distinguish it from another vinegar slaw. Thai Red Curry Fish Taco was good, but the sauce not much different than what you would get most other places. Sweet yellow plantains were delicious. We liked the place and probably will return. We just didn't find it quite as good, or quite as unique, as others have.

This was our 5th time here. Food is outstanding. All fresh. All homemade. Menu is eclectic and never disappoints. Service is great. Atmosphere is great. Pricing is reasonable. Everyone leaves with a huge smile. Well done Umana!
