We have just spent a fantastic 7 days at The Sarojin. We can not recommend this resort highly enough. It is the perfect destination to completely unwind and to rejuvenate. The location of the resort is actually ideal considering that it is nearly 1 hour and 45 mins from the airport and 10 mins from the town of Khao Lak. The resort is so accomodating with transport/transfers and activity options that you never feel isolated. The weather during our stay was a mixture of torrential rain and lots of sun. The rain didn't impact at all on our resort holiday. The service is extremely attentive without being instrusive. All of the staff including the owners make you feel so welcome. Inviting all of the guests to the General Managers drinks is a great way to meet other guests and to share travel experiences both at the Sarojn and elsewhere. The food is superb! The a la carte breakfasts are delicious and such a better option than the traditional buffets offered at other resorts. Also the range of dining options caters for all tastes both Western and Thai. We highly recommend the trip to Phang Nga Bay (James Bond Island and Sea Kayaking etc) organised through the hotel. You may pay little more than what the tourist operators offer in town but the level of service offered by the hotel staff is superior. There are also restuarants next to the resort on the beach that offer inexpensive food and drinks which are very quaint. The Day Spa is world class also. This resort has so much going for it. We look forward to hearing more about the new resort planned for Cambodia.

If you look for flashy surroundings, lots of nightlife and party crowds, skip these lines and look somewhere else. - Instead, if you just want to be away from it all in a relaxing environment, surrounded by excellent service and friendliness, do consider this place. We were impressed by the mix of the relatively low profile and the excellent "content": Service, friendliness, food & drinks, scenery - simply great. The location is somewhat remote, but we think that´s part of the secret. We were somewhat unfortunate with the weather (end of rain season), but even that couldn´t spoil the experience.

Amazing. From the get-go, the Sarojin never ceased to amaze us.

I travelled with my mother for a much needed luxurious beach getaway. We were picked up from the airport by the transfer service offered by the resort. The pampering even started here. With a choice of music, a variety of complimentary drinks available and an unbelievably friendly guide, we knew we were in for something special.

Arriving at the hotel, we were met by the manager, and a variety of staff to help us to our room. When we were shown to our rooms, we were amazed. They were impeccable. So modern, and you really got what felt like a whole apartment to yourself. A welcome letter awaited us on the bed.

Staff. I really feel like the staff made this place that much more special. Every single one of them would stop you to say hi, always with a lovely smile. When they asked you a question, they truly listened and remembered everything you say. This makes the experience so much more personal. They were discreet when they needed to be, and approachable at all times with an injection of their true personality come through with clever jokes and anecdotes.

There is also a weekly complimentary cocktail night organised by management so that guests are given a chance to meet the owner and the staff. This night really made it for us as we could see by the way the owner interacted with staff and guests alike that he truly cared about the resort and seeing it be the best it can be.

Rooms were serviced twice a day, with new complimentary fruit baskets placed every day. The pool is truly majestic, with a floating platform to give you that royalty feel. Staff manned the pool and the beach at all times, bringing fresh towels, cold water and even complimentary fruit platters and fruit drinks at times. Always with a friendly smile.

There are two restaurants located at the Sarojin: Ficus and The Edge. Ficus has more of a modern mediterranean feel, whereas The Edge serves more traditional Thai Cuisine. Both were fantastic, and prices were reasonable for a resort of this size (meals started at around 300 Baht). Breakfast is served at Ficus and is truly to-die-for (that's right, even that naughty glass of champagne is in there).

Activities can also be organised through Sarojin, that has its own activities team. Each person is handpicked for the role, and this thorough recruiting truly shows in the service provided. We did the elephant trek and bamboo rafting. Both were great fun and highly recommended.

Weather was very average the week we went, with rain on most days. This did not tarnish our trip in the slightest. I cannot say anything negative about the Sarojin as I truly believe it is one of the few true luxury resorts in the world that truly lives up to a 5-star rating.

If you want pampering, luxury and a great dose of good food, look no further. The Sarojin is the perfect getaway.

We chose the Sarojin for our 20th Wedding Anniversary from other reviews on Trip Advisor and were not dissappointed. This place is pure magic - We arrived at night having private transfers from the airport that included refreshments & cold towels to an absolutely beautiful view of the resort at night - the glowing lights reflecting from the gorgeous water ponds & pool were beautiful - the accommodation was superb and the food delicious - we found the pricing for food etc from such an upmarket resort reasonable and the staff & service exceptional. It was an experience of true wonder - We were a little worried that we would be isolated at the resort as it was so far from phuket etc however there is a complimentary shuttle into the Khoa Lak town for shopping and a change of eating venue (cheaper options) plus next door there are three little bar restaraunts owned by locals (Au Thong restaraunt was absolutely brilliant)The water at the beach was postcard clear & clean on the whitest sand - we would go back again in a heartbeat. Outstanding holliday at an outstanding resort............................

After reading all the good reviews we were very disapointed by the very poor level of cleanliness. We stayed in a suite and the toilets were dirty as were the carpets the bath was to dirty to use but worst of all were the tiles in the shower.
