Honestly speaking, this is the worst five star hotel I have ever stayed in. The location is not great, staff not that friendly and not that helpful.
I could not recommend to anyone.

Had 7 nights here, and we oived it! The staff was very service minded, and genuinely cared about their guests.

Breakfast buffet a bit pricey, but the selection was very good. The restaurants have great food, but for authentic Thai atmosphere, head to the nearby village. Much cheaper, and a cozy atmosphere.

Average age of guests are high, and the hotel quiets down very early at nighttime. Not for partygoers.

As all other resorts, there are some early birds laying out towels on sunbeds then going back to sleep, but we still found beds at 10am, so not a big isdue. A bit annoying though.

Beach area nice, but no facilities there like sunbeds etc.

Their Chinese New year show was fantastic!

I stayed at this resort last week from the 12th-14th January and found it to be a very pleasant interlude from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. The grounds are very extensive and well kept.

Service is great and right on the beach front.

I stayed in a villa, number 3132 that comprised of a lovely big bath (photo attached)

The sea appeared a little polluted and I didn't see any swimmers but with beautiful swimming pools, why would you need to swim there. The sandy beach was right on the resort and convenient for strolls.

Room Tip: I stayed in a villa 3132 and would thoroughly recommend these!

From the topiary elephants at the start of the drive, to the spacious reception with its beautiful flower/petal/plant displays, to the carved watermelons at the breakfast buffet, the attention to detail is astonishing, yet the overall ambience is soooo relaxing.

The room (called a superior, but actually their "standard" room) was spacious, clean, nicely presented, with comfy beds and a generous balcony. The food in the varous restaurants was delicious and was reasonably priced (yes you can get cheaper meals outside the hotel, but if you want to stay on the premises there is plenty of choice and it is stil good value) - breakfast in particular is highly recommended! Without exception the staff were absolutely lovely - genuinely friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The service was often the kind where you don't need to ask, they just notice you need something and there it is, but still done in an unobtrusive way.

There were plenty of sunbeds - with umbrellas which is essential for a sun-avoider like me - although a few regulars commented that it was particularly quiet when we were there. There are a few traders selling fresh fruit, jewellery and clothing who occasionally stand on the beach outside the hotel but they are not allowed to come into the pool area itself, so keep an eye out for them if you want to bag a bargain sundress or sarong.

The hotel is walking distance of beach bars/restaurants, beach masseuses, and 5 minutes from "the Village" (which is left immediately outside the hotel, not left at the end of the long drive up to the hotel as we found out!) which has a good selection of bars, shops and restaurants, so you don't feel you are trapped on a complex in the middle of nowhere. There is also a supermarket closer to the hotel (although sad to see other retail outlets seem to have closed down on that block) and a fridge in the room so you can keep drinks cool, food fresh etc.

There are also shuttle bus services, but we were too busy chilling in the fantastically relaxing atmosphere to try them out - this trip! Can easily understand why there are so many regulars - we are already looking into coming back!

Stayed here just for a few days but enjoyed it every minute.
It is a large hotel with various buildings and villas. I was fortunate to be able to stay in a villa.
The villa consisted of a large room and adjacent large bath room that had a very large bathtub and separate shower. Everything needed was there. In front of the villa two extra chairs were also available.
The hotel has several swimming pools. The largest is in front of the main building. Right behind the pool you will get to the nice beach.
Next to the beach you will also find one of the restaurant where you can also sit down for a drink.
A bit further next to the beach you also can enjoy a massage. Alternatively you can also have a massage in the spa of the hotel.
