We wanted to stay somewhere and nice and even pay extra for a baht tub room. The bathroom was gross and had lots of dark mole looking spots. We didn't even think about using the small tub there. Disappointing. There is a Central Mall within a walking distance, that's the only good thing I guess. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Until they repaint or fix the bathroom.

This was our second time at this hotel. It has really gone downhill in the last 4 years since we last came. The staff is still very nice (allowing it the one star I gave it) but the property needs a facelift. The BATHROOM GROUT IS MOLDY AND GROSS! We get two rooms because we have a family of 5, so to pay close to $170US combined for our family (during the holidays so prices were higher ), we cringed each night we came back to our disgusting bathroom. See the photos. Our toilet must have been replacement toilet, bc it was yellow (i.e. it didn't fit the original decor) and slanted. I had to hold on to pee bc of the slant! The beds were fine, typical Thai twins. Breakfast was "ok" for an expensive hotel:. Same bland pastries/cakes they served 4 years ago that no one eats. only bologna was served as the meat over the week we stayed there (i.e. no sausage or bacon like Americans eat). adequate pad see ew. No curry. Basic general mills type cereal - nothing healthy. We came over the holidays so the breakfast dining area was packed - I was creeped out by the number of guests sneezing/coughing on the food as they walked around (I guess thats the downside of buffets in general). I actually began getting up early to beat the sneeze crowd each day! The pool area is fine but we only come at Christmas so its too cold outside to swim. Hotel has a giant entry lobby area, but really no nice place to sit as a family and talk while waiting for friends to arrive- Just one large L shaped couch. it needs different smaller sitting areas grouped in 4's or 6's, to play cards or have a snack. Very bizarre lobby. However there are 2 large dining sized tables behind a wall divider in the lobby, which we used for family game night, but its by no means cozy. No nice place to read a book, except out at the pool. It is Nice to be close to Central for sticky rice/mango, green curry, a Starbucks run, or a to grab something at Boots. we have lived in CR and in Bangkok, and we've traveled to Thailand 8x over the past 20 years. This was a disappointment for the $. Better to try to find a clean cheaper hotel. We've stayed almost everywhere in CR that is priced over $50. We haven't found anything better. But this just irked us to spend that much money here. We did notice that a new luxury hotel popped up across the street from the Martini since we last came. It doesn't look like its reviews are any better.

We stayed 2 nights at the Mantrini hotel - it is a modern, clean and comfortable hotel with a nice pool, and garden but we found it too far out of town and corporate with no atmosphere. Breakfast was good and the staff very helpful. The one day tour of the White temple and Golden triangle they recommended was excellent so thank you very much for this.

We came to Chiang Rai to meet friends and relax. We intended to stay at tge Le Meridien but it was full during the holiday weekend. I'm glad we found this nice hotel as it was a third of the price of the Le Meridien. This hotel is well located next to the Central shopping Mall and is quietly situated with large carpark. The staff are attentive and friendly. Our room looked onto the inviting swimming pool with a patio door and private outside sitting area. Breakfast is served in a nice, airy airconditioned dining room with a good selection of foods from East and West. Fresh eggs are available to order.
I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to others.

The front desk staffs are very friendly. Special thanks to Pete Panuwat Sriyanont. He helped us to book our tour and our bus ticket from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai. Room is clean. Excellent choices for the breakfast buffet . Highly recommend this hotel.
