not worth the amount, you are away from the market, small rooms, nice staff, not much choice in breakfast, they can make veg food also, must have your own vehicle, have pool, you can always opt for hotel near night market or place where there is happening, so many options.

This hotel is in a very nice surrounding . Lots of trees , very peaceful . It is a little out of the way but it is only 80-100 bath to get a tuk tuk ride to town. Nice outdoor restaurant with good breakfast buffet . Pool is also in a nice surrounding .

Eight days in Chiang Rai is very long. The hotel made the stay very relaxing and worth-while. We would spend one day going out siteseeing, and one day relaxing at the hotel. The staff has been awesome, the restaurant food was marvelous, the breakfast buffet abundant, and the rooms very comfortable. I am usually very critical with pros and cons of the places I review on here. There is very little complaints I have about the hotel. I do suggest that you consider your room selection carefully. We have three rooms at the hotel. My room is facing opposite of the pool. On that side of the hotel, one of their neighbors is raising birds and they squawk all day. The morning sun is nice to take the chill out of the air. My one friend has the pool side first floor. This is nice for easy access to the pool, but it gets quite warm with the sun in the afternoon. My other friend has a second floor pool view. He too has a warm room in the afternoon, but has a nice view. This has been such a pleasant stay. I highly recommend this place.

Maryo is stunning. A beautiful hotel just outside of the main city. It's a nice walk, if you like being nosey like me, or the staff will arrange a tuk tuk to pick you up (cost around 80baht to the bus station) plus the hotel offer a free shuttle to and from the hotel in the evenings to the night bazaar. Rooms were beautiful, hotel grounds immaculate, the staff were great and friendly and the breakfasts were very tasty! Great location to sight see Chiang Rai and the staff can arrange for transfers to wherever you want to go! We loved our stay here, and would definitely stay again. We didn't use the pool (too much sightseeing!!) But it looked fab.

Chiang Rai is certainly not the biggest area, so finding a nice hotel that was good value and ticked all the boxes was a challenge but we made the right call coming here,

Not to say this hotel blew us away, but during our travels of Thailand we were on a low and strict budget and for the price we paid we were very pleased with what Maryo resort had to offer,

The room was plain but clean and a good size, the hotel is spread out around several buildings with a pool in the center, the pool area is lovely and well kept, the whole layout and design of the restaurant area, pool and gardens was impressive for a cheap hotel/resort. They also offered a free shuttle to and from the center of the town at certain times which was helpful, if not a tuktuk was only around 50 Baht.

We ate at the restaurant once and it wasn't the best, but nothing too bad, staff also spoke limited English but not a problem particularly, 7/10 would come back and very good value

Room tip: Some Rooms had pool access which would have been good
