My family & I had a good outing to the Sala & the surrounding vineyard. It wasn't the grape season so we didn't get a guided tour & wine tasting but the kids enjoyed a great ride on elephant back (for THB 300 per person for a 15 minutes ride) It was a really hot day & no sun umbrellas did roast us a bit for those 15 minutes but it was a lot of fun for the kids none the less. We biked around the vineyard on bikes rented from them (TBH 100 for half an hour) The landscape is picturesque. The icing on the cake is the restaurant with the multi-cuisine menu which is infact a necessity coz there is no other eating option in this area (which is almost an hour from the city centre) The food is reasonably good tasting & the service is decent. The grape cheese cake for dessert & the grape soda are worth ordering. I would give the place a thumbs up for a great family venue to spend a few hours!

We've visited many times, always finding the food and views outstanding. However yesterday's service was terrible. There are many staff, but we, and many other tables, found ourselves waving for service attention. After awhile that becomes boring!
Even our water order arrived 10 minutes later and we ordered it immediately on being seated.
Our server spent most of her time talking to the cashier with her back to us.
Let's hope the staff get some better training and leadership to improve on a great restaurant.

In addition the smoking area is not adhered to so the smoke wafts through (again, none of the many staff inform smokers to move around the corner).
It's still disappointing to see elephants being ridden by tourists. It's not necessary to enjoy the surrounds, and certainly not kind to the elephants.

This restaurant is well managed, the food is tasty and of course the wines list is great. The price are expensive compare to usually what we can have for 2000 bahts, but we pay the great area as well. Good service.

Indeed the better place to be. Very very nice restaurant with selected quality food and assorted wines. The views are spectacular. A tour around the vineyards is possible by car and also on elephant back. You do need a car to go there. It is about 40 km from the center of Hua Hin. As far as I am concerned was this place the highlight of my trip to Hua Hin.

We drove out to Hua Hin Hills Vineyard for lunch and were favourably impressed. The Sala where you eat is raised to give lovely views over the vineyard from its many balconys and we agreed how like a New Zealand vineyard experience it was - if you didn't notice the two majestic elephants pacing through the vines, giving rides to visitors!

The wine was very palatable. We began with glasses of Monsoon Velley Blanc de Blancs, dry, not quite up to a prosecco, but very drinkable. I then had a glass of the Monsoon Valley White Shiraz, a fruity but not sweet rose, which I enjoyed very much. My husband was not quite so impressed with the white Cuvee De Siam, but on the whole the wine surpassed our expectations.
Food was rather a 'mixed bag'. We were tempted to have the tapas matched with glasses of wine, but in the end shared the generous and delicious platter of Thai starters and a rather ordinary caesar salad, follwed by rather small main courses of salmon and pasta with seafood. The latter was delicious but so spicy I felt it interfered for some time with my appreciation of the wine!

Service was friendly and efficient. We arrived before noon and had to go in at once if we wanted a table, so next visit we will book ahead and take a walk along the wine trail first. Yes, it is rather expensive compared to other eateries in Hua Hin, but we thought it worthwhile for the setting and ambience.
