I stayed 5 nights, looking for quiet place, far from the busy hua-hin
Takiab beach is well located, just need to walk 5 mn to reach the beach and shops/restaurant.
I like the very good and cheap sea food near the small harbor
I like the long quiet beach, you can walk up to sea pines side.
The hotel is simple, a bit old but clean. Pool is small but nice and clean too.
Quiet guests.
Breakfast is very basic, don't come for the breakfast
Welcoming is ok, staff is a bit...let say shy ;)
Room is clean, confortable. View on the jungle garden and parking. I knew it so no problem. No sea view possible.
Bed is big but cheap one.
Old tv
Air con very good
To conclude it is a very good hotel for this low price. I will be happy to go again.

I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions over the years. It is a small hotel with only 27 rooms. The rooms are a reasonable size, some with large balconies, others have a small balcony with a drying area. The rooms have air con , king size or twin beds, there are a couple of family rooms, which are very large and can be configured to suit different size families. The hotel is not a marble palace, but the rooms I have stayed in are always comfortable. Bed linen, towels and beach towels are changed daily
There is a small swímming pool with an integral childs pool, which is perfect for small children, complete with sunloungers & shade
It is a bed & breakfast operation but it is possible to get some food during the day,you only have to ask.
The position is almost perfect, come out of the hotel, lurn left down an almost private road and you are on the beach, about 3 minutes. The takiab beach runs for almost 5k , one end of the beach has a number of beach restaurants & sunbeds massages and jet skis etc
, but the remainder is open for walking on good light sand around a very shallow curve.
What makes this hotel is the people who work there, In the main they are young and very interested in serving you, The manager/receptionist speaks good English and is a delightful person to chat with
Locally there are a number of restaurants serving a variety of Thai & European
food, and a taxi or tuk tuk can take you into the main town area in about 15 minutes
To sum up ,This is a very affordable hotel, well run with great staff, good size rooms
and one to which I will be returning to in 2017
I always book direct with the hotel, you get a better rate than using the hotel agencies

This is an older hotel located about 50 meters from Takiab beach. It is showing its age and in need of repair. The beds are very uncomfortable. The staff was not very friendly. The breakfast was OK but came with instant coffee. The hotel is hard to find and away from city center. I would look for a better location for your stay in Hua Hin.

Room Tip: don't flush toilet when someone is taking a shower or you will be scolded.

My girlfriend and i booked 6 nights here over the new year celebrations more because of availability than choice. To be honest its neither good or bad, its far from being a hotel as it doesn't have the resturant or bar facilities one would expect. Breakfast is an ok affair with limited choice but adequate and drinks can be purchased from the reception. The rooms are ok but we'd advise booking a front facing room as ours at the back had a very small balcony and looked out over a run down wooded area with mozzies being a problem. There was a tv, fridge and air con which worked fine and the bed comfortable, however the wifi was without doubt the worst we'd experienced from all the 9 places we'd stayed during our 2 months tour, extremely unreliable and not acceptable in the 21st century. The bathroom though complete with powerful shower was showing its age like the rest of the hotel and this was the only hotel that had carpet in the room which on its own was a little off putting but coupled with the stains and burns left the room feeling just slightly dirty. The staff on reception were friendly and always smiling and the rooms cleaned daily. There is a very nice pool but the selling point we feel for this hotel is its locality to the beach which is just a 2 minute walk. To be honest we feel this hotel is on its way down rather than up and is caught in a fi nancial trap, because of its run down appearance (both inside and out) its isn't getting the custom to generate the funds it needs to bring the customers in. On the whole we'd say it was ok if nothing else available but there are better places for your money.

Room Tip: Book a front facing room

Firstly can I say this is not a luxurious hotel with endless facilities and luxury rooms. We found this hotel by chance 3 years ago when staying with the family at a house in Takiab Beach. We met someone on the beach who told us they were staying here and that it was a little gem. Well they were not wrong. In my opinion it is a lovely well run family hotel who will do anything they can to make your stay pleasant. We stayed there at Christmas 2010 for a week and really enjoyed ourselves. Last Christmas we went to Malaysia and had planned to spend a week in Penang. However to cut a long story short ended up in Bangkok and decided to have a week back at Takiab. One phone call to the owners and a room was booked. AGain, the staff were wonderful to us. They cooked us lovely fresh omlettes each morning, we had smiles all the time, the pool to ourselves and the prices of the drinks and the foods were as cheap as if we were buying them from the supermarket. Even drinks they put in the mini bar were as cheap. The hotel is in a great location just a little walk down to the beach (2 mins) and then you have a wonderful array of little bars and shacks where to get your drinks and food from. I really love Takiab and think it is a great place to spend a week. I would go back to Takiab Beach Hotel every time simply for value for money. Really love this place, cant fault it at all.
