I stayed at AKA with my wife in late September to early October. We have many times and each time we come, we are always at awe with the beauty.
From check in with the friendly front office staff to late night dinners at the restaurant to chatting with the General Manager, Jess, at breakfast, we had an absolute pleasant stay.

We will be back again soon!

We went to the resort and have to wait for almost an hour to get the room. The reception infored that previous guest just checked out and the room was being cleaned. We got in to the room by almost 3PM. Along the way to our two bedroom pool villa, there were many villa without guest and why we needed to wait for the cleaning? @ night we found one mouse running aroud one of the bedroom. That was very terrible.

This is definitely a nice, private and very close to nature resort to enjoy your vacation. This resort suits for couples more than a group of friends.

We have booked a one bedroom deluxe villa, with10m private pool and nice, spacious room, outside bath tube and shower area for two nights.

In general, the room is clean and tidy (but bad reception of WIFI), we actually didn't suffer much from insects. The shower and bath area is quite disappointing, the bath tube is pretty messy with some dead insects and leaves, which bother us from using. There were hair in the shower area which blocked the water, obviously the clean job is not detailed enough. Overall the clean job is delayed, slow and not proper, we have asked for making up the room since 10 am and no one comes until we called the front desk at 3 something, which needs improvement.

The environment is nice, fresh and well maintained especially for the public area, we can see some renovations carrying on, so the concerns which mentioned by the other reviewers can be eased steps by steps.

Breakfasts are included during our stay and they are nice and tasty especially for the Thai dishes, we have tried both a la carte and buffet breakfast ( I guess it depends on the number of guests), food are well prepared. We missed the BBQ dinner, as they are only available in the weekend.

The resort provides some activities for guests like Yoga and bike tour. We have joined the Bike tour and we thought someone would take us for a bike tour and show us around but end up we had nothing but a bike, and 4 bikes out of 5 are out of order, which is disappointing. Shuttle bus service to downtown are so far on time. But reservation is a must and ensure the seats and schedule.

The staffs are nice, but when we asked for a late check out due to the delay of our private car, it is difficult even in the low season, and the resort seems empty, so a more flexible policy should be applied if the resort wants the guest to come back, as word of mouth is important !! End up we could delay our check out, but not in a very smooth way.

Overall experience is nice but can be better and it may be our choice again next time if they keep the improvement.

Facilities can be fixed and renovated but what keep the guest to come back is the SERVICE and the PEOPLE, which is also very valuable for a hotel management.

Room Tip: booked the room during the weekend and you can enjoy their BBQ dinner.

I got a one-bed room in Aka Resort and Spa last weekend. The villa was really private with a pool for my small gathering with friends who also took another villa in AKA resort. Large space with an additional room for spa was really reasonable for spa lover and a roof top lounge. Service was good throughout the entire stay, since check in.

Blue sky, private kingdom! what's else do you want?

Room Tip: All villas are good and private.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The location is not far from city centre but it's in a hidden place that even local drivers cannot find. The villa is big but not well maintained. Room size ok, cleaniness needs improvement, facilities and decor are old. Though it's a villa, but there are lots more better quality villa in Thai. Lack of staff but they are friendly. Insects every where, especially mosquitos and flies. Pool in room like never disinfected. And the pool is dangerous with many sharp edges and unseen traps. Two major problems: 1) we don't have warm water for shower. 2) we requested twin room but not availalbe. So two of us (girls though) need to share a double bed. Breakfast is just so so.
