Just had dinner at the restaurant and the food wasn't bad but just not that good. The staff pay no attention to what is happening and wait for you to signal or approach them before doing anything. (Note to the manager: get your team checking the tables before customers are seated and also to check with customers how their meal is a few minutes after serving the food. These are basic standards! As you can see from our photo our table had bird droppings on it! Completely unacceptable when there are more staff than customers. The views, location and the Philippine singing duo were great and that's the only reason for an average score otherwise it would have been poor. So much potential but it seems like nobody cares.

After a month of travelling South East Asia (staying in hostels) my partner and I decided to stay at the Tri Trang Beach Resort as a treat at the end of our travels. Put it this way- we would have rather been back in a dorm room hostel. To start, everything is catered for Russians, the tours, the menus, the activities planned for the hotel including the music played is all Russian. The staff were unhelpful and I'll be honest pretty uninterested in the guests. The food in the restaurant was mediocre and very over priced. A small bottle of water was 30 baht! The whole hotel is run down and tiles are loose on the floors everywhere resulting in both myself and my partner tripping over on more than one occasion. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, hard and had springs sticking out and we were given one pillow each. The internet only worked in the main areas of the hotel (restaurant and lobby) however we established a weak connection hanging over our balcony. There is no access to any other part of the hotel other than the lobby if you are disabled or elderly as there are steep, broken stairs everywhere. There are elevators provided but you need to walk up or down stairs to reach them. Myself and my partner both went to the spa for a massage, the ladies seemed friendly enough but did not provide a very relaxing environment as they giggled and spoke to each other loudly throughout the whole hour. The massage itself was good and they seem to be well trained. There is a shuttle bus that runs 3 times a day which is useful as it's expensive for a taxi into Patong. (300baht) However the last bus returns at 6pm so if you want to stay later you need to get a taxi back anyway. The only good thing i would say about the hotel is the sea view rooms and the beach as it is quiet and tranquil. All in all I would not recommend to stay here as we haven't had the best experience that we were hoping for.

Me and my boyfriend visit here expecting something nice as it is 4 STAR hotel. Everything is catastrophic from the staff to food. We ask for a creamer at around 6 or 7pm and didn’t heard anything again. I follow up and they said they will get from the restaurant as it is not included in the complimentary stuffs. And until now this morning 9:30, nothing. You can just say no, we don’t mind but don’t keep us waiting.

We had a dinner in the restaurant, which your only choice to eat. They serve a chicken that smells like rotten, okay they said no need to pay that but do you think we will still eat in your restaurant after that experience? You are serving food that even the dog I think will refuse.
We’ve been moving from one hotel to another in different islands of Thailand and so far, this is really the worst.

Don’t be fooled by the photos on booking sites!

We had a nice view atleast, enough to just stay in the room for one day.

The beach view rooms are awesome for staying. We stayed two nights there. It was very much secured and you can chill at the beach whole night. There is a nice pool, including kids corner adjuscent to the sea. They provides nice American breakfast.Large parking and transportation facility to the patong beach should be mentioned. The corridor was too warm due to less ventilation system. The pool closes at 7 pm which should be extended.

The best thing about this hotel is the private beach and having breakfast at the beach. It’s a nice private beach and great to swim at. We even did some mild snorkeling. But the beach does become a dry reef in the afternoons. So you gotta move to the pools. Breakfast was good and had most things you’d want. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was old but clean and spacious. Bed was very firm, but the view was amazing! Boom a sea view room if you stay here. The hotel is out of the city, on a hill, so taxis charge more and it’s a bit slippery on rainy days. The hotel has a couple of elevators but you still need to climb up and down quite a few stairs... so be ready for that... there is also a rubish yard next door, so coming to and leaving from the hotel you might smell something unpleasant. But you can’t smell anything from the hotel... it was a nice stay with a bit of exercise. I shortened my stay but I don’t regret staying here. It was nice overall. They also offer a shuttle to and from the main city shopping center and the hotel offers activities every night at the beach restaurant.
