Being close to the park made this a wonderful place to stay. The park was a lovely place to walk and relax with playgrounds for the children.
The hotel has a swimming pool which seemed to be well maintained and was a good place to cool off. The food for breakfast was nice with a good variety.
The staff were particularly helpful making it easy for arrival (by train) and in preparing for the next leg of our journey by train.

Just opposite Prajak Lake, the famous swamp in the center of downtown Udon Thani as its name "Pajaktra hotel. Quiet big room with oprn area sink.separate area for shower and toilet. Hair drier, fridge, Tv, and safe provided in the room. Large swimming pool and fitness, function room separate building at the back. Lots of people jogging in the park around "Nong Prajack" opposite the front of hotel. 7-11 is 200 metres away on the right turn at the corner, Some food stolls and local restaurant near by. I visited the Prajaktra Design Hotel on another typically hot (very hot) lovely day in Udon Thani, I purchased a one day pool pass at reception and what a great choice it was. There are two (2) pools, one is a very large, kidney shaped, shallow pond style pool and the other, more a lap style, smaller one. I did a few laps, as well as some duck dives (it is 4 metres at the deep end) in the smaller pool and just lounged about in the big one alongside (see my YouTube). It really is a magnificent swimming area (includes a small fitness centre, plus conference rooms too) and I will be back for another 'dip in the pool' again soon.

One of the attractions of this hotel is a huge outdoor pool, water is clean, and great facilities (locker room, showers, etc.)

But, a nearly insurmountable problem is that the pool is not staffed adequately. The pool opens at 7 AM but at 10:30 AM there was no one to help. I needed a towel, wanted to connect to the Wi-Fi, and wanted access to the lockers. No one in sight. I wandered around for 10 minutes hollering in all the empty rooms, but there was no one.

Finally, without instructions, I figured out how to call the lobby from the pool staff desk telephone, and asked them to send someone. After waiting for another 10 minutes a staffer came—dressed in a business suit—obvious not a normal pool staffer. So after a total of 20-25 minutes, assistance finally.

BUT—They immediately left, and there was no one available to refill the empty soap dispensers in the shower rooms. When I left the pool area two hours later, there was still no pool staff to assist guests.

I know it’s the middle of the week and occupancy is down, but cutting out staff in normally used areas, thus inconveniencing your guests, is NOT the way to operate.
