I just returned today from a 3 day stay at Swan Bay and I have to say it was an amazing time!! We stayed in the St. Elmo mini home and it was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed! We seriously want to buy one and keep it on the property! The tiki bar was amazing and so much fun to just hang and talk with some of the other guests. I seriously didn't want to leave!! The staff were great, especially Mindy (the housekeeping supervisor). She was so personal and you could tell that she really cared about the resort, the guests, and helping to make it the best experience for all. They had a heated pool available, but I did not utilize it on the trip. The fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs was amazing at night. We all had such a great time and we are already planning our next visit!!!

I was really excited for this trip, and upon first glance the cottages were great. However, there were details that made it very disappointing. I'm not sure that the cottage was actually cleaned before they gave it to us. There was a dirty tissue in the master bedroom, hair in the shower, and cobwebs and spiders all over the cottage. The bedding was old and musty, and the mattresses were worse than the one I had in my college dorm room. There were dead bug spots all over the walls. I have dogs myself, but I didn't bring them, and there was dog hair on the couch. The main air conditioner didn't work, but we were told by management that it was on and that it would take a long time to cool the larger space. It never did. It's such a shame because the fully stocked cottage is so convenient for traveling with a family. With just a small amount of effort this place could be great. I won't be staying here again.

my first time at swan bay.
I received "best available " pull through site. promptly at 7 a.m. the smell of diesel fumes began wafting into my camper only to be followed by the sound of construction vehicles 50 yards away. I understand that they are building new sites but come on. I could have camped in a construction site on the thruway for free.

Stayed at the chalet. It was spacious. The gas insert fire place works well and is a nice touch. The couch in the main living area was worn and we had to cover it with blankets we brought with us because no one wanted to sit on it. Gross. The wooden kitchen set was sticky even after we wiped it down. There were spiders throughout the dwelling and a serious problem with flies. You will be charged the full $250 security deposit if you leave anything in the bathroom including little bottles of shampoo or if the cot mattress is not on the base. The management charged us $250 because of this, poppy seeds on the stove top, and one bathroom trash we missed in terms of emptying it out. They we not sympathetic that I was rushed in for emergency surgery during our stay. We left $20 tip for housekeeping. In fairness, it probably took a total of 10-15 minutes to throw out the shampoos and trash, wipe up the poppy seeds, and put the mattress back on the base (don't they clean it, or spray it down at least after check out?). Totally overpriced and unpleasant. We will never go back.

My wife and I recently visited this camp ground. It was our first time in this area. This camp Ground offers anything a camper might want....Even sidewalks to walk on. The location is close to all the local attractions and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a Thousand Island Camping get away. Our dogs enjoyed the dog park and the grocery store is within walking distance. I hope we can make it again next year. enjoy
