We've just got back home from a fantastic 2 week holiday at this hotel....I have nothing but great things to say, hotel is absolutely gorgeous (both spotless and creative in design) our family enjoyed the pools and both children loved the slides. We booked the cabanas by the poolside for most of our stay and I can honestly say they were worth every penny! The staff were amazing and extremely accommodating which gave a real special feeling for us. The food choice is fantastic, there is something for everyone. I must mention the white party which was nothing less than AMAZING, the suprise fireworks were a real treat! A little shopping tip also....if you're into handbags then there's a shop just down the road from the hotel that sells bags at 10 euro each which is the cheapest we found them! Sunglasses were fantastic prices here to. Both myself and my family would 100% recommend this hotel. Thank you to all staff for making our holiday memories even more amazing!

Fantastic hotel, with plenty to do. Very good food and friendly and helpful staff. Great children’s pool and the flumes were lots of fun. Some hidden extras to pay for. Food could be provided throughout the day at pool bars. But we all had lots of fun.

Hotel is Good, the only outstanding service been noticed were the service exteded by mr soner who work in Cabana which are in the beach. He speaks English and the smile always in his face . I rent cabana twice because of him.

Overall we were very disappointed with our recent stay at the Titanic Hotel Lara Beach. This was our first time in Turkey and will also be our last. We have stayed at a number of 5 star hotels and therefore expected a certain level of luxury/service which we did not receive. This was a family holiday with our 1yr old and 8yr old daughters as should therefore have been an enjoyable experience! We did not expect to look forward to coming home so much!

Arrival
Upon arrival at approximately 10:30pm we were unable to provide the children with anything to eat due the main restaurant being closed and not open again for late night snacks again until midnight. yes the pasterie was open but for naps, cakes, ice cream only and therefore not great for children who’ve missed their evening meal. We all therefore went to bed hungry the first night.
We were provided with a lack of information from the hotel and although advised an information booklet was in the room this had a number of pages (English) missing.

Room
Although the room was initially clean and tidy it was apparent that did not remain the case throughout the week. Beds were made although sheets not changed on occasions and the room did not appear to be cleaned during our stay.
The biggest concern regarding our room was the balcony. We had originally requested a low floor room due to having a toddler, we were in fact given a room on the top floor which was located on the top right hand side of the building. Not only was this the end room, the balcony itself had an approximate 60cm gap in the railings were the wall curved up. (Picture attached). This was extremely dangerous and resulted in no use of the balcony during our stay as we feared it was unsafe and had a huge risk of our children falling to their death. We requested to move rooms but were advised by staff that this was not possible as the hotel was at 110% capacity.

Staff
We were appalled that the customer service provided by the majority of staff at what is meant to be a 5 star hotel was non existent. On a number of occasions we had been sat for dinner for almost 30 minute before being supplied with cursory or being asked if we would like a drink.
Staff were again on occasions rude, for instance when being asked for a high chair in the main restaurant or ordering a drink at the Solaris bar.
Staff were unfriendly, rarely spoke and visibly sighed and were none verbal when asked for things and made us feel as though this was a chore. This was not a 5 star experience!

Food
We were very disappointed to find that we were restricted by the times that food was available within different eateries within the hotel for instance 12-4/1-3, 18:30-12:00/7:00-10:00. Due to these restrictions eating was a chaotic experience because of the amount of people at any one time.
It was also not an option to eat at the pool side bar or around the pool area meaning that we had to go for lunch each day which is an additional pressure with a young family. We were also annoyed that given the hotel was meant to be all inclusive it did not feel this way.
There was additional surcharges for the al a carte restaurants, pop corn/candy floss stalls, games, bowling etc.
Although the main restaurant catered for children with a kids buffet this was the same food for lunch and dinner every day, overall the food was very repetitive.
Ice lollies were only available once daily via a member of staff on a bicycle, which resulted in a first come first served basis and therefore meant lots of children/families missed out, we observed adults arguing to get into the fridge on a daily basis, it was pure chaos, we felt that this was inevitable given the limited snacks available.
This situation resulted in us purchasing snacks/food/ice lollies from the on site shop on a daily basis and in fact resulted in an additional cost on top of our already all inclusive holiday.

Entertainment
Although we were impressed by some of the entertainment provided by the hotel we did not feel this was family orientated. Shows did not begin until 21:45pm and a number of which were extremely inappropriate for young children.
Some included extremely offensive music with lyrics ‘don’t this s*** make a N***** wanna jump’. The dancing (dance groups) was very provocative for young children to see.
The black party was more like a strip club than a family party night and as parents we felt this was highly inappropriate for children as did a number of parents we spoke with. This was similar to an adults only rave.

Illness
Our whole family suffered with sickness/diarrhoea throughout the holiday which again significantly impacted our holiday experience. This was caused by poorly cooked food!

Checking out
Again we experienced poor customer service and were not asked about our stay.

We can not express how upset and disappointed we are by our recent stay here and therefore urge others that if you are looking for pure luxury, 5 star quality overall this is not the right hotel for you! If your happy with an average experience then this is the one!

Although we had a number of complaints there are a number of positives. For instance the grounds are beautiful, the kids club staff and entertainment staff and activities are amazing, the shop owners situated in the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. The children’s pools are perfect and the cabanas are a must, this was the one time we experienced 5 star service, waiter service, and food served constantly although this was an additional 80 euros well worth it for the experience that should be there regardless!

We spoke to a number of other guests at the hotel who had a similar poor experience of this hotel and would not be staying again and/or recommending to others.

Just returned from Titanic after a week long stay with my wife and 2 kids.

Transfer: only a 15-20 drive which is perfect particularly when you land post midnight.

Check-in: Nice and easy. Was offered food but declined, was nice to have the option though.

Room: Brilliant! Probably one of the best rooms we have stayed in. Nice and clean. Have read reviews about the aircon- didn't find any issues with this. Only minor criticism there could have been more English channels.

Food: Yes, it does get a bit "samey" after a few days but you have to be a complete snob not to find anything. Plenty of variety on offer.

Beach: Didn't spend too much time here as we wanted to use the pedal boats. Unfortunately the water was too choppy and risky.

Waterpark: this is where we spent the majority of our time. Very enjoyable.

I knocked off 1 star because:

- the waiting staff work extremely hard and it must be tough waiting on hundreds of people each night. I would have liked the option of getting my own drink rather than the onus being on the staff.
- controversial... but i didn't find the late night entertainment to be the best. Also it was on far too late at 9.45pm. My kids had difficulties staying awake (they are 6 and 3)

Tip: lots of shops/markets/bazaars outside the hotel where you can pick up some real bargains.

Overall a very good stay. Thank you for the memories.
