I really enjoyed the museum. It really was the high point of our visit to Bursa. The museum was a macrocosm of everything Bursa had to offer throughout history.

Although the entrance fee of 5 TL is very cheap, it's more expensive than the City Museum (2 TL), while it doesn't really offer any surprises. There are very few texts to read - at least they are in English - and the objects are labelled in a very superficial manner. But as this museum is directly located next to the magnificent Yeşil Camii (Green Mosque), give it a try.

The museum is more about the tools and crafts of ordinary folks than about the pieces of artists. One could find clothes worn by nomads, dervishes, carpets, nicely crafted ornaments dating centuries. The museum also has an extensive coin collection. It was interesting to observe the rows of coins coming from the 13th century Ottoman Turkey all the way to the 21st century modern Turkish republic.

Everybody has own choice of TRAVELS. We chose to enjoy without any GUIDED Tour. In this choice we had very very nice experiences. The Information Centers, The Turkish People, and so manyyyyyyy. We had a full day tour in Bursa.
Every thing we saw, was amazing.
The Museum, is a great combinition of Turkish & Islamic Heritage.
Is any thing missing in my View?

I had high expectations about these museum, but they were not met. The building itself is beautiful, very close to the Green Mosque, but the museum it self had not so many pieces and looked very abandoned. We were the only ones inside for the whole time we stayed there.
The 5 TL are worth only for the architecture.
