It has one of the best sunset views in Izmir (restaurant at 14th floor), but the hotel is getting worse and worse every time I go there. Every room has different (missing or broken) appliances, mostly dirty and in desperate need of serious renovations.
Location is ok, close to Kordon, restaurants and bars.
Overrated.

There are two Anemon Hotels in Izmir, one is FUAR, a budget hotel in a better part of town and there is IZMIR hotel surrounded by mobs, gypsies and brothels in a scary quarter called Basmane. You book your room in Fuar, pay full fee in advance and when you arrive you are told that the hotel is full and you will be sent to Anemon Izmir by taxi and you will be given a filthy dark room with a view of hotel storage. There are great hotels for all budgets in this beautiful city of Izmir but Anemons are not among them. Avoid while you can.

I stayed in the hotel for two nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel bathroom was a mess. The toilet was not cleaned or disinfected. All the sanitary items were not replenished daily. The was a piece of used toilet paper up next to the window in the bathroom for I dont know how long. P.S the aircon only blows hot. Not impressed

Just next to İzmir İnternational Fair thats all. Upper level rooms are ok. Breakfast is Good but Stuff needs a serious trainning.
Hopefully they repaired their elevators, they were completely broken had to use service elevators.
Becarefull, there is only hot air, no cold fresh air coming from the clima in the Winter. Plus some bad air may come from the clima too because poor ventilation or No filtres.
So therefore they need some renavation. Otherwise they Will lose a lot of clients.

After a three night stay at Anemon Fuar, I should say that I feel generally satisfied. Very convenient location regarding the city center, tasty and well-selected breakfast with local well-cooked delicacies -the hotel's strongpoint-, nice view from its top floor.
On the contrary, the fact that almost nobody among the staff speaks English or other western languages is quite annoying, especially when somebody asks for necessary things like an extra sheet or how to open the safety box. Finally, we quit trying to communicate with them, although they appeared as helpful as they could...
I could be more harsh in my review, if there wasn't a playful kitty wandering around all the time just outside the hotel entrance (see photo attached)...
