Description: Hilmi Seafood Restaurant is a place where you’ll find peace, happiness and flavor with a unique harmony of blue and white. Our restaurant has opened in 2004 as a family business in Fethiye fish market. We ma every effort with our trained and friendly staff for our guests to spend a fabulous day and leave with the good moments.Fethiye fish market; formerly a market place where local artisans sell their own produced products. 10 years ago, after the restoration it has become a pleasant stop of unique flavors. Fish Market managed to preserve the texture of the old concept. A fish stand will be presented the moment you enter through the door. You choose your fresh seafood from those rich fish stands and after that moment our speciality begins. We cook your choice as grilled, fried on pan or on wood-fire with pleasure and serve you with the Mediterranean and Aegean cuisine appetizers, salads. Then we add “fasil” (Turkish Classical Music) to all of these because we know that friendly meals finds life with songs sung in unison. If want to smell this unique atmosphere, come, visit us for once and you decide the rest.

I go regularly to Hilmi which offers delicious meze and great fish dishes in a lovely atmosphere. Only thing you need to know is that fish is only served with a few salad leaves, no side dishes. So make sure to eat enough meze if you are really hungry :)
What put me a bit off is since the menu changed just before Bayram, some items' price had seen a 20% price increase and some of my favorite meze are no longer on the menu.
Service is sometimes very friendly and fast, sometimes a bit slower, depending what waiter is on duty.

We went on a Friday evening. We went early and had a table right by the water. We were able to watch a beautiful sunset whilst eating.
The food was very fresh and very good.
We went and looked at the mezes and the waiter explained what they were.
We then chose the fish that we wanted.
The drinks arrived promptly, followed by our starters and bread and dips on the house.
It took a while to attract a waiter when we required more drinks. However the restaurant is big and was very busy by then.
We enjoyed the meal very much.
The service was good and setting romantic.
It is a little more expensive than some places, but defiantly a very nice place to go to.
I will definitely go again next summer.

Staff were rude and impolite as soon as we walked through the door. They didn't have a clue what they were doing, so it took us nearly 20 minutes to sit down. We ordered some drinks, however, they tried giving us small and charging us for large. They also left them at the end of the table for us to get ourselves, so nobody served us. Next, they tried taking our order, however, they got it wrong on every person at the table because he didn't understand us. Also, he didn't understand the menu so they tried charging us for lots of extras. They had nothing on the menu what we asked for, even simple dishes such as salmon when they are supposed to be a fish restaurant. Also, we asked if they did rice, but they said they didn't. However, we saw them take a portion to another table, therefore they lied to us as we had complained about the drinks. The staff kept giving us dirty looks and stares all night, and it made us all feel uncomfortable. We cancelled our dinner order, paid for our drinks and left. I also heard a rude comment from the staff as we walked out which is very disrespectful and extremely bad mannered. It was a ridicule of a night and we will never visit again.

I went last night to Hilmi restaurant with my husband and another couple we arrived in time to watch the sun go down. We had a table right on the waters edge.
We had a relaxing drink and then the waiter showed us the meze inside and explained what they all were.
We chose baby sqid sizzling prawns in garlic butter, and seafood and cheese rolls.
We had a large village salad to share and sea bass, groupa fish and a fish skewer.
This was accompanied with garlic toasted bread. We had a very nice white wine, and beers also.
It was Friday evening and packed!!! The service was good, and all reasonably priced.
It was a very quiet setting with a lovely cool breeze.
I would love to go three again, and would recommend it.
If you don't like fish three is a steak restaurant next door.
