rooms a bit too small, and, most signs in Japanese only, the staff is very helpful and know English well, great place to stay , 30 meters from the Shinkansen station. good breakfast and as located in the train station, plenty of good restaurants close by.

Location: Annexed to JR Toyohashi train station. This is as good as the city access convenience gets. It's only few hundred steps away from Tokaido Shinkansen, in the city center. Department store access very good, too. Excellent.

History: Built in 1997. Reformed in 2004. Shows age in parts, but in general, kept up well.

Lobby: Main lobby is on the 1st floor whereas the trains arrive on the 2nd floor of the station building. There is an interior corridor with a mix of escalators and stairs from the train station to the hotel main lobby.

Interior Decor: Very modern and functional lobby, with good sentence of furniture. Guest room interior decor is average.

Exterior appearance: 13 story high building in central Toyohashi, annexed to JR Toyohashi train station.

Outside view from the room I stayed at (912): Direct view of the train station platforms. Surprisingly good noise insulation for being so close to the trains.

Room size: Approimately 18 square meters. Average.

Room Cleanness: Stains on the carpet under the desk, facing the window. Otherwise, bed, bathroom and closet are kept in good shape.

Price and value: Cost performance wise, OK. Value is there for great access to shopping, rail/bug transportations.

Services: Free wi-fi. Breakfast was very good with plenty of Japanese and American style selections for buffet.

Bathroom: A bit smaller than desired. Functional.

Bed: Medium softness. 140cm width.

Not only is the hotel convenient to the train station and the bus system, but also a department store and the downtown shopping area and quite a few restaurants.

The front desk staff is pleasant, friendly and efficient. They are good at giving directions too!

The rooms are meticulously clean, quiet and comfortable. I liked the air purifier that they put in every room so much I bought one for my house.

The hotel's buffet breakfast is extensive, tasty and rapidly replenished with fresh food. I especially liked that they put some local delicacies on the buffet; I probably would have never had the opportunity to try them otherwise.

Note that the main lobby is on the first floor whereas the trains arrive on the second level of the station. Look for a "mini-lobby" to your right to enter an elevator or escalators down to the main lobby.

I would return to Hotel Associa Toyohashi without hesitation.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors have a nice view of the city.

It just located in the Toyohashi station! You can find everything around. The breakfast is not so bad but decent to start your day! If you are on business and looking for a car, there are a lot of car rents around! The building is a new I guess and sleeping quality is good. Clean hotel and cheap price with handy location.

Very modern and convenient. There are small convenience and small plates bars around the hotel. There is also a department store in the complex. If you are longing for american style doughnuts there is a Mr. Doughnuts store down the street. There is no english language tv stations. There is wifi in the rooms and lobby. They have a bar and a restaurant in the lobby. The hotel has a breakfast package. They have western and Japanese style food items buffet style. The view from my room was terrific! This is my 4th stay here in lt last 8 years. Very good and modern.
