Did not mind long waiting time for next flight as there is so much to see in the airport. Relaxing to stay in viewing deck and watch the planes.

If u rush into the international departure you may find it boring, just 1 parapharmacies to grab an eye-drop. Surprise but no bookstore at all. HOWEVER, there's a total different world on the other side of domestic departure. Hokkaido cheese n dairy products, Royce Chocolate World(well, first-time-ever to know that Royce is not just a fresh-cholocate band...chocolate is part of it. Try Royce bakery and thank me later;b ) Not a genuine Doraemon, Hello Kitty, yet I'm so drawn to these dreamy decos, scenes, products, and design...you name it. 请一定预留出足够时间给新千岁机场。太好逛了。就算我不是Hello Kitty和哆啦A梦的狂热粉丝，也在这两个区域如痴如醉。是童年呀！新千岁机场吃好玩儿好。集章兑换的奖品是一份可以自选封面的文件夹。

Well worth the trek up to the observation deck albeit not with lots of luggage to carry as there are stairs to navigate. Great and awesome to see planes landing and taking off and being close to the action
