This is kinda old hotel but very well maintance. The room is quite spacey and very clean like other japanese hotel. Staff are nice and they serve healthy yummy breakfast. There is a famous Brick Mall not far from this hotel. You can reach there by walking.

The map is totally wrong for this hotel, took us to another hotel . Use google maps not the TripAdvisor one on the site.

After walking a few km the wrong way, we got there using google maps rather than the one on trip advisor.
The hotel itself is fine, above average business hotel rooms.
Good size bathroom and soft bed.
Staff have good English.
Aircon does not work!!!!! Windows do open and it's a quiet area so no problems leaving them open.
We paid 62,000 yen for a small double room, not bad value.

Reception staffs, and staffs - Correspondence is very good.
Room, toilet, bath - New, clean.
Meal - You can choose the Western and Japanese. Delicious in a sufficient amount.
Location - Close to Mount Hakodate and the Bay Area. It is a little far from Hakodate Station.

Room tip: The second floor is inexpensive.

Hakodate is a most beautiful town with great weather in winter. The downside though, is the great price difference between accessible hotels and the not-so.

We took a taxi from the train station cos the public bus only comes once an hour. The journey took about 30 mins and cost almost $50.

Helpful concierge staff who spoke basic English and were able to help with our itinerary and recommend tourist attractions.

From the hotel, we walked about 20 mins to the harbour and a further 45 mins up to the cable car, for an unforgettable trip up Mt Hakodate. Night view was amazing.

Free WiFi only in the lobby.

Good hotel for walking around the city with a few eateries within 10 mins' walk, but would not recommend to tourists with a lot of luggages. We had great trouble lugging all our bags to the train station the next day, a tedious 30 mins' walk.

We spent two nights at this property and it was an excellent choice. The desk service was excellent and the room was without fault. The morning breakfast service was also excellent with a choice between western and Japanese breakfast selections. The location is convenient to the tram line and is only a short walk away. All day tram passes were available at the front desk which greatly aided in getting around the city. Our room was on the 5th floor and free of noise. The location of the hotel is in a residential area so street noise was minimal. This was our first time staying at this property and we plan to make it the base for our future trips to Hakodate. We highly recommend this property to all who wish for a quiet place to rest after a busy day touring Hakodate.

Room tip: The dining room is on the second floor so possibly this floor might have a bit more noise in the morning as people make their way to the dining room.
