Hyatt Regency Yokohama exceeded my expectations of a Hyatt Regency.
From check in as I parked my car they asked for my name and henceforth was referred by name by different staff and whisked to regency lounge for check in. Without prompting my globalist status was recognised and all benefits were provided. The corner suite is very nice. New hotel new room large Chromecast TV. Friendly and professional service. Generous regency lounge breakfast and evening canapés. Location is great for tourists as it’s right in front of yamashita park and China town. This is not a Park Hyatt or Andaz Tokyo but for a hyatt regency punches way above its weight. Bravo.

The nearest station is Niho-Odori station on the Minato Mirai line, which runs along the Tokyu Toyoko line. You can also go there from JR Ishikawacho or Kannai station. Only a stone's throw away from Yokohama Chinatown and Yamashita park. There aren't many high-rise hotels in this area where you can get a rewarding view of Yamashita park. Take the elevator to the 20 floor and you can enjoy a marvelous view of the city.

Every interaction at the main desk seemed focused on upselling services and put pressure on me to spend to make my family comfortable.
My wife and I went down to the front desk for breakfast and were directed to the restaurant. but we were not allowed entry. Thus, we had to leave the hotel and try to find a healthy place to eat.

From the moment we arrived until we left the hotel, we were treated like royalty. The hospitality we recieved in this hotel was A1, and the breakfast they serve is a little expensive, but worth every penny.
My family and I enjoyed the proximity to China Town and other attractions as well. We will definitely be back here for a visit.

Stayed for business and pleasure. Wonderful hotel and staff. Close to all sites worth seeing in Yokohama. Outstanding breakfast. Great staff that went above and beyond to help and provided the best service around.

Brand new hotel, modern and clean rooms (rain shower!), some with views of Mt. Fuji. From the first phone call with the front desk/reservation staff who helped us use points to upgrade to a club floor room and put a note about a special occasion, to the Milano restaurant staff who called to ask about our dietary restrictions so they could prepare a vegetarian-friendly course meal, to the staff who on arrival escorted me from the parking entrance up to the club lounge, the staff of the Hyatt Regency Yokohama went above and beyond to provide five-star, personal service. Thanks for a perfect staycation.

Room for improvement: While Milano was able to prepare a vegetarian-friendly course dinner with a few days' notice, there wasn't much attention paid at either the lounge happy hour or the buffet breakfast to offering or clearly indicating dishes that contained meat/fish. For example, there was a quiche at breakfast that the staff assured us was vegetarian -- but when we cut it open to double-check, sure enough it had giant chunks of meat inside. More care and training would help kitchen and service staff to understand and cater to vegetarian/vegan dietary restrictions, which would go a long way toward improving the experience of guests with those preferences.
