I am staying here as part of a tour group. After the match we returned hoping to get a drink. The top floor bar was full and people were queuing. The lobby bar, however, was practically empty. The sign, see photo, suggests that it's open till 11pm. The photo was taken at 10pm! So, they don't want us here.
Earlier we went to take advantage of a special offer to watch the two earlier games on the big screen (they had a big screen in the Banqueting Room with a bar and snacks) before heading to the stadium.
First match kicked off at 1.45pm. They were going to open the Room at 3pm! We made alternative arrangements.
This is Japan's biggest sporting moment until the Olympics next year and the whole country, with the exception of this hotel, has embraced it. By all means stay here but don't expect them to understand or recognise why you're there.

Being located next to the Shin-Yokohama Station makes this Hotel an ideal base when visiting anywhere in Tokyo. Also there is many very convenient restaurants, shops and cafes in the immediate area with the Hotel directly connected to a Shopping Mall. The Haneda Airport Limousine Bus drops you off at the Hotels front door making arrival a breeze. The rooms are clean, neat and tidy and all with amazing views over Yokohama, Tokyo or even Mt Fuji on a good day. We really liked this Hotel, it isn't in the thick of things in the Yokohama Waterfront but the price is much lower than you will pay there and it takes just minutes on the Blue Line and your can be there anyway.

We asked for a non-smoking room because of health issues but the reception said they did not have any non-smoking rooms after checking the computer for 5 seconds. We requested this twice, first when we checked-in, then the next day. The staff at the reception did not do any effort whatsoever to try to help us with our request. Feeling very disappointed, having to overuse the asthma medication and allergy medication. The room is extremely small and really smelly of smoke. The air conditioner does not work well, it is still hot in the room, despite setting the temperature at 18 degrees. There is an air purifier, however the smell is embedded within the walls and the spray they used to kill the smoke odour did not help with the allergy and asthma issue. Bathroom is nice and clean, the cleaning staff very friendly. The breakfast is very nice, with a lot of dishes to chose from, even for peoples with food allergy issues. We have three more nights here and feeling sorry we booked this hotel. Would I stay here again? Certainly not.
