I stayed at New Grand on the 24th to 26th September 2019 on my most recent Japan trip. My wife and I were travelling across japan and Yokohama was our 2nd stop. Firstly I would like to commend on the excellent service provided by this hotel. I booked a Tower Room and was assigned a huge bedroom over looking the bay and yamashita park. At the point of check room, we had a lady staff patiently explaining the different aspects of our room and how to access the different controls and functions. This is very good service which I've seldom encounter. The location of the hotel is also very convenient to yokohama chinatown. There you'll find abundant restaurants and Chinese food. Yamashita park is directly in front of the hotel so for the active travellers, do bring your jogging and exercise gear so that you may jog along the bay anytime of the day. Though this hotel is not within city area, it is still conveniently accessible to places of attractions like the red brick warehouse, nissin noodle gallery and the iconic ferris wheel. We managed to visit all these attractions by walking 20-30 min. Lastly I would to say a huge thank you to the hotel and their staff because after leaving yokohama, my wife left her glasses behind in the hotel room. Whilst in Osaka she remembered that mistake. I rung the hotel up and they actually delivered the glasses to our osaka hotel where we were staying around 2 days later. Very grateful and thankful for their efforts. They bubble wrapped the glasses very well and my wife was surprised how clean and polished they looked. Thank you for going the extra mile. I will definitely be back in future
