So handy for anyone heading for the cruise terminal, good breakfast too though you have to pick a time slot in advance. Umbrellas available on damp days. Helpful staff to advise on places to eat/ visit.

We stayed a few nights prior to a cruise. The hotel is a bit older than we have stayed in but it was adequate. The bed was comfortable enough but the pillows were very thin and uncomfortable. Breakfast had lots of choices of local and Western foods. Walking distance to plenty of shopping, restaurants and cruise terminal.
We arrived via train from Tokyo and got off at Kannai Station- it was an easy walk to the hotel from there.

Reasonable room but as most hotels we stayed at the bathrooms are to be desired and the rooms are small. You have to step up into the bathrooms which is not great and quite dangerous if you forget in the middle of the night. Location was good as there were places to eat when we arrived in at 8pm at night. Breakfast food was reasonable but get up early if you want a table as there was a queue for breakfast because the area is small.

First off I love using choice hotels in all countries. Comfort Hotel was a good stop for us before our cruise. we needed one night stay and this solved that problem. Staff is nice and very helpful with restaurant suggestions. This hotel is walking distance to the cruise port of Osanbashi (only 6 blocks). It is also close to Yokohama Stadium and China town. Now a warning for all western travelers not familiar with Japan. Rooms are very small not what you are used too. Also,

Great hotel if you only really need a place to sleep - quite small, basic rooms, but very clean. Staff very friendly, and hotel reasonably priced. The only negatives are the very small breakfast area to cater for so many guests, and only 2 small lifts servicing 14 floors - sometimes one can wait a long time.
Room tip: Lower floors may be better as lifts are slow to arrive.

Our room was a good size for Japan although you had to step up into the bathroom which was very stuffy when you were having a shower. The bed was confy but the pillow was very flat. There was a small choice of various dishes for breakfast but it was hard to get a table as the breakfast area was very small for the size of the hotel. Our room was clean and the air con worked well.
