The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the south exit of Himeji Station ... there's a convenience store on the way. We had a double room on the top floor. It was very spacious and clean. It had two chairs and a small table. There was plenty of room for a big suitcase. It was also very quiet ...
The big public baths are on the second floor ... it was spacious and clean. The ladies bath also has a special card key (for security reasons, I guess). We checked in at 3 p.m. and had the entire bath to ourselves. There was also a washing machine and dryer, too.
The room's bathroom is also quite spacious for this standard of hotel. The amenities are standard and they also offer extra amenities for ladies (face wash, moisturizer, better shampoo and conditioner, etc.).
The room has plenty of hangers (8 instead of the usual 4). There's a jug for boiling water, 2 cups and 2 glasses ... so, you can buy instant coffee or tea (at the convenience store), and make yourself a cup. The fridge is empty (don't forget to turn it on) and so, you can stock it, as you like. There are vending machines on a few different floors.
The only complaint with the room is the bed! It's big but, extremely firm ... actually hard! Really hard!! If you like that sort of bed ... then, this hotel is perfect.
They also had bicycles (3 that I saw) that we could use for free ... which is great for getting around town. It's about a 7-8 min ride to Himeji Castle and Kokoen (20 minutes on foot) ... there are places (on the grounds) to keep your bike, while you wander around inside. You will walk a lot inside the castle, so I recommend using a bicycle to get to and from the hotel.

The room was cold, but staff was helpfull and accomodating. All documentaion and instructions are in Japanese, so if you do not understand the local language, get redy to push some buttons and 'muddle through'. Beds not comfortable at all, stiff materace - feels like straw - and small foam pillows. No dresser in room, so you live out of the suitcase. Straight back desk chair - no other place to sit except that and the bed.
OK for short stay, and minimum time in th room. Nothing international or English on TV. Staff tries to accomodate, and were nice. Breakfast at restaurant downstairs - local style basic buffet.

Room Tip: Ground level car parking was a plus. Staff tries to do small extras to make your stay plesant.
