We had a lubster/Steak dinner at Sam's sailor in Naha. They prepare your food right in front of you, and it was very tasting and intertaining, however there did not appear to be any ventilation, so after a short while we were sticky and smelled like a frying pan and our eyes starting to get itchy... We went straigt back to our hotel to take a shower and change our clouthes.....

We payed 10800 Yen which is about 110$ not expencives nor cheap either... Good luck:-)

Great chefs, great food, and entertaining to watch the chefs ply their art. Yes, it may be slightly touristy, but it's on Kokusaidori so that is expected. Doesn't take away from the experience at all. Suggested to make reservations.

This restaurant was recommended in the tourist guide I bought, but I was rather disappointed with it. It's located right on Kokusai Dori, the famous International Street. Unique setting of a ship and staffs were dressed in sailors' outfits. Service was so-so as we felt that the staffs didn't enjoy their job. It's rather interesting that they show us the raw sirloin and tenderloin we ordered. The meal was the worst tasting teppanyaki I've ever had. The chef briefly grilled the meat and there was barely any flavor to it. Even my six year old son said the beef was not yummy. It's a pity that so much meat was wasted. I will not go back to any of the Sam's teppanyaki chain restaurants.

Nice ambience with thematic experience of being onboard a ship. However, food quality was average. We ordered prawns and steak. Prawns were fine but the steak was over-cooked. Service was also lacking because the restaurant was very crowded. I think it caters mainly to tour groups and tourists.
