We booked this hotel as we anticipated that the stay would be a pleasant one, next to a mall. While driving there, we encountered severely bad traffic and saw that there was a convoy of Thai registered pickup trucks who were just stationary and clogging up the road leading to the hotel. There was overall bad signage and bad management.
When we finally got into the car park, only one (out of 2 lifts) from the car park were working. And, the lifts were slow. It was a really long wait to get to the lobby.
At the lobby, there were 3 counters, and it took a long time to check-in. The check-in staff looked unhappy and there was general mayhem everywhere in the hotel lobby.
We got a room on level 20. There were 6 lifts to the rooms and they were really slow! These must be the slowest lifts we ever experienced. Sound-proofing was non existent as we could hear noisy kids in the room next door clearly.
Other issues in the room: the TV did not work (we did not bother to report), there were grime and dirt on the side of the carpet, after the shower, the water will flow all over the floor.
The pool was really small and depressing.
And, then the mall attached - it is absolutely appalling. How many manicure, pedicure, massage, hair salon, toy claw machines does a mall need? Every floor of that mall is filled with these shops.
Absolutely disappointing.
Breakfast the next day - minimal spread, we only ate local cooked food, just in case.
Car parking was free - the sullen lady at the check-out counter validated our parking card. Then we saw our car had a car park sticker at the back advertising what looked like an online gambling site. Spoke volumes about the sort of patrons in this location.
