This place has all but closed down from being the 'Legenda Park'. The entrance is still there, but almost every single sculpture has been taken away (we found the remains of two legend sculptures during our visit), all the legend information boards are gone now. Really, it is now just a small pretty park to stroll around, it is no longer a garden of legends. Which is sad, because I would've loved to read about the legends. It originally opened in 1996, and I wish I could've seen it then because I'm sure it was amazing. But the sculptures were not maintained and eventually had to be taken away for safety. The park itself is clean and is beautiful... I was just so disappointed because I had expected to see legends.
This is supposedly a beautiful park. However, it is obviously neglected. There are interesting stories and sculptures to be discovered but the information displays are hard to read due to moulding and corrosion. Worst part is that the place is terribly infested with mosquitoes. I walked out looking like I had severe skin allergy. I also saw hornbills and a huge monitor lizard, that's pretty nice.
Unless you want to get another view of Eagle Square, i think this place is great place to enjoy sunset and watch the 'big eagle' taking off from Eagle Square.
Otherwise, please dont waste your time there.
Such a sad and pathetic place.
Pity but the place would be so nice with a bit of care ....wish we could have seen it then but not to be...was a bit of water laying around as well.. went shopping instead
We visited Leganda Park strolling from Eagle Square in the evening. We ventured in and found no one inside the park. The park and gardens weren't maintained properly and once inside seemed a bit spooky.
The location of the park is good, but it needs to be looked after. You can give this place a miss.
The park looked like it was once really nice but has been left to ruin. We were a bit confused as to what we should be looking at. It didn't help that it had been raining the day we went and it was a bit flooded
