The hotel is beautiful and service very good although the view on the lake was not very nice
Food was great , the breakfast was gorgeous and the diner appreciate by everyone. Cocktails on the terrace were a peaceful moment. The rooms very cosy and comfortable - family room very convenient

We have just returned from 5 days in the Cameron Highlands, staying at The Lakehouse. This beautiful old lodge, has a lovely setting. It is marred somewhat by the terrible state of the lake, and 24 hour dredging which is something to bear in mind, as at times it can be somewhat noisy at night. Having said that, it did not impact significantly on our stay.

The staff at this lodge are definitely the strong point. They work very hard, and make a really special effort to anticipate your needs. Travelling with a 3 year old, this included placing a high chair for her every morning for breakfast, bringing her special food at breakfast, and generally being very accommodating.

We enjoyed the special NYE event that they put on. It is only a small lodge, so not alot of people, but everyone came to the meal, and this was followed by a small party and fireworks at midnight.

The rooms are tastefully decorated, albeit in an old style suiting the building. We found the condition to be good, everything worked as it should. Our bed was an old four poster, and my old criticism is that it needs some looking at. Simply turning over causes it to creak and moan, which on a few occasions caused my partner or I to wake the other just by turning over.

Room service was well done, and each day fresh fruit and biscuits were left. We didn't really enjoy the biscuits, we found them a bit stale, so not sure if they come from a large container? Otherwise room cleanliness and other facilities was great.

We found the food to be of a reasonable standard. We understood it to be a small hotel so it's difficult to have a very wide menu. What we did try was very good. We do think the breakfast could be improved. Egg omelette was not cooked well and was just egg and cheese nothing else with it. The poached eggs were served with a plate of water and soggy toast, so not very exciting. Otherwise the buffet was simple but good, and other breakfast items just as Rotti and Nasi Lemak were very good.

We enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely recommend it. It's location is away from the hustle of the busier towns which means some extra travel each day, but the peace and staff make up for this in spades.

Special mention to the Spa, the massage was excellent and both my wife and I thought this was a highlight and one of the best we have experienced.

We visited during June when the weather was quite hot in Singapore. This is a very good Old English style Cottage located at the start of Cameron Highlands near Ringlet.

Very good location and surroundings. Very nice weather. Staff is very courteous and they catered to our Vegeterian requests. Their High Tea experience is very good (though a bit expensive).

This is one of the best option available in Cameron Highlands and worth the price. Highly Recommended!!

This hotel is located in Ringlet and is not the area where shopping and food area is. Nothing much to do around the area other than some stalls near the entrance of the hotel. You will need to drive about half an hour to the shopping and food area. If you have a car it is a nice drive with quite a number of tourist attractions along the way.

We love the hotel the moment we stepped into the lobby area. The layout and the decor are very nostalgic. So is the room. The room is of a decent size. The bathroom is also huge with a bathtub and shower. Bed is very comfortable and they also put a small aroma sachet below your pillow.

In terms of service, it is very good with friendly staff who are happy to give advice as to where to find good food.

We had complimentary breakfast and are happy with the spread and quality. As we stayed for 2 nights there is also a complimentary scone and tea set. The funny thing is that although there are 2 of us, this complimentary scone and tea set is only for 1 person, i.e. there is only 1 cup of tea provided.

The hotel provides wifi only at the lobby and common area. However the wifi signals are weak.

The hotel has a open sitting area where you and sit and relax. Very lovely to sit in the open as the weather is cooling especially in the evenings.

Overall, we are very happy with this hotel and will consider staying there again on our next visit.

Lovely stay in this beautifull hotel, allthough the view on the lake was not exciting due to the Brown ccolour of the water (work in progress, apparently for 5 years now). Great hospitality, aversie food.
