I stayed 2 nights in a sea facing family chalet.
Location is good, near shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Taxi van costs RM10 from the jetty to the hotel so it's very reasonable.
Bearing in mind that this is a 2 star hotel, everything is great.
The rooms are a bit old but generally acceptable.
The swimming pool is clean.
Wifi is limited to lobby area only, but if you're on a holiday forget about wifi and just enjoy the sea!

As long as you have the correct expectation (it's a 2 star hotel) this is a perfect stay on budget.

We stayed there recently for 2 nights in August. The resort is just a stone's throw away from the sea which is a plus and the main attraction for the public and those staying in nearby resorts.

The room however was pretty rundown. The room has 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. The sheets were not very clean and quite old-school. The interior was pretty old too. It has a satellite tv with less than 10 channels we don't watch a lot of tv so that's ok.

They provided us with the basics such as towels, one small bar soap. No toiletries or amenities. A flask which you have to get hot water from the restaurant if you want to drink some in the room. Otherwise, no airpot. Only 1 switch in the entire room - which was used for the tv. So if you need to charge your phones, no tv then. No wifi. You can get Wifi at the Reception area although the connection is pretty slow. Cupboard doors are broken. There are meant to be 2 locks on the main door but one is broken too.

The bathroom is fairly simple but it comes with a heater. Others have complained that the water supply is little but our's was ok. Room is air-conditioned. Furnitures in the rooms are pretty old and could use some upgrades. Each room comes with a balcony with 2 plastic chairs and a metal table.

It is a pretty small, decent resort. Nothing to rave about but if you're looking for a simple, affordable stay that is very near the beach, you can consider Sea View. It is not a high-end resort. Meals are served with 4 to 5 dishes each time. Pretty alright.

Despite the poor quality of the resort, it has a killer sunset view, an awesome beach with sea sports, good and convenient location to nearby souvenir shops, small restaurants and convenient stores. It is within walking distance but if you want, you can also rent a bike for $20 to $35 ringgit for one day to ride along to the town area. You can catch hornbills dropping by for visits when you have your meals at Sea View too, which is pretty nice. The resort comes with a nice, clean pool too which is nice if you want to take a dip.

Overall, it will be nice if they had properly upgrade the entire resort.

Room Tip: Rooms near the restaurant have nicer views facing the ocean. The ones nearer to the pool has a wall across so you can't really see the ocean.

We paid RM 10 for the pink minibus from Pangkor Jetty to this hotel. A room for 3 (1 double bed & 1 single) was RM 230. We were lucky enough to get the newly rebnovated room in front of the swimming pool. Hence, the room interior and bed cleanliness were at satisfactory level. The hotel has nice seaview. Various watersports were available at the beach. Because it was on weekday after Raya, the hotel was lowly occupied. Great to enjoy the calm and relaxing surronding. The hotel free breakfast was rather simple. 3 choices: Mee Goreng, Mihun Goreng or Western (eggs & toast) with coffee or tea. The cons were:
1. No umbrellas to lend to guests when it rained
2. Could not flush the toiletbowl
3. Low water pressure of the shower
4. Bad TV signal

I have stayed in Sea View on several occasions spanning more than 2 decades and have not seen much improvement to the quality of inclusions in the rooms. The reason I still go back is the service levels of the staff, who are adorable, polite and helpful(especially the restaurant staff). I like the chalets beside the beach, but they are in dire need of a good face lift on the inside, especially the bathrooms The bathrooms need to be modernised(dividing them into wet and dry areas, as in a proper shower recess - that's all it needs!!). And the sink is just impractical with the mirror a mile away(with poor lighting) - just impossible to shave. The outdoor furniture have seen better days and should be replaced to add a bit of class to the place. For RM264 per night for the chalet(off peak), discounted to 194, it was still a little pricey. But as I wanted to stay there for the memories that it brought back, I did not let the price or the condition of the place affect the short stay I had there. I will go back, but hope that when I do, there will be some improvements made to the place. I would recommend the place to anyone who can put up with a bit of "dated" inclusions.

Room Tip: Nice place but do not expect modern amenities. The chalets is a must!!

Accessible by road from Pangkor Island jetty with a half hour taxi/mini-bus ride. The resort bedrooms were not clean and only 2 star standard but could easily be upgraded to 3 star with a revamped maintenance standard with a coat of paint, clean sheets and better furnishing. The food has a reasonable & basic 2/3 star standard and is halal.

Room Tip: Ask for a clean refurbished room.
