We spent 3 night in Hyatt Regency Kinabalu, and I would definitely go again next time. The hotel is well located and very quiet at the same time. The staff is friendly and their swimming pool is super cool! They also offer different restaurants which is quite convenient if you are tired and don't want to go out.
Their breakfast buffet is fantastic.

I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the breaktfast buffet at Tanjung Ria Kitchen. I hope you and your partner had the chance to witness the Chefs live in action in the show kitchen – It is a sight to behold. Did you try out the unique rainbow latte at our sidewalk café, Mosaic? It is a beverage loved by many in the city.

My husband, daughter, and I stayed in a suite overlooking the South China Sea. Our room was spacious and clean. We stayed for 6 nights before spending time in Penang and on the Kinabatangan River. We returned to the Hyatt for 5 nights and again stayed in a ocean view suite.

Our suite included club room privileges. All of the people who work upstairs in the Club Room are fabulous -- friendly, helpful and extremely professional. The hors d'oeuvres were delicious and they changed nightly. The sunsets from the Club Room were beautiful.

The Hyatt Regency Kinabalu is a great place to stay and I look forward to my return.

Room Tip: The view of the South China Sea is beautiful.

A good location at the city heart. Many restaurants nearby. KFC and Burger King is opposite to the hotel. Buffet breakfast was great with variety choice. Fresh juice was impressive. A nice pool. Staff were helpful with smile.

However, the Hotel is a bit old. Lobby, lift were old. Renovation to the room is needed. No mini bar inside the room.

Thank you for choosing Hyatt Regency Kinabalu as your stay during your recent trip to Kota Kinabalu. As the hotel is located in the heart of Kota Kinabalu, it offers access to a myriad of things to do and places to go, such as a number of shopping malls, restaurants, the local handicraft market as well as museums.
I am pleased to hear that you and your partner enjoyed the buffet breakfast and that the service provided by the staff fulfilled your expectations. As a winner of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2016, we have always believed in providing quality care for our guests in order to ensure that they have an enjoyable stay.
Despite that, I am most concerned to learn of your disappointment regarding the hotel’s facilities. Having been established for nearly 4 decades, we are constantly upgrading the hotel to keep up with the latest trend. We truly value your feedback as this will assist us in further improvement of the hotel. We hope to see you again during your next visit to Kota Kinabalu.
