The older museum is full of old, dusty exhibits. The model longhouse was interesting but all the stuffed birds were weird and typical of old fashioned museums. The newer one on the same plot is much better. Spend more time there. It has paintings and documentaries.

if you have time to kill and have done all the other tourist stuff, this is a place to visit to spend about 1 hour to see some stuffed animals and read up a bit of history of Sarawak...

No A/c in main building- very Hot. Its free and locals have no respect for the place. Loud talking, Picture taking.Only the newer wing has AC- much better

Well worth a visit to see how the early dwellers lived in the area. There is also a small house setup to show the layout and use of the house. Would definitely recommend this attraction.

This is a nice place to come and walk around for free in the city of kuching. Come and learn something new while enjoying a cool off in the air-con. What else do you want?
