In accordance with its name, this museum represents a mini miniature of Chinese in Kuching, Malaysia. Inside the building, we can see Malaysian formerly pictures, a lot of artifacts other various inheritance. People may always wonder how the first Chinese came to Kuching. Most of the information in the museum is descriptive. Not forgetting also the important information about all the Chinese clans that help to build Kuching are there. It is interesting to read so much about them and also the leaders of past. Most of them still reside in Sarawak. Visit Chinese Museum is very suitable for travelers who have a short traveling time. The Kuching Chinese Museum does not charge an entrance fee to those wanting to take a look at Sarawakian Chinese history. It is open from Sundays to Thursdays and closed on Fridays and can be easily accessed since it is located just across Tua Pek Kong temple. Although there are no entrance fees, you can give a small donation in order to support the preservation and the operations of the museum.

Easy to miss if you don't know it's there. This is a very good little museum highlighting the history of the local Chinese history in the area. Well laid out and surprisingly good and informative displays for a free museum. Suitably impressed!

If you are by the Kuching waterfront, have an hour to kill and are looking to understand why there are so many Chinese in Malaysian cities, I highly recommend this museum.

The only Chinese museum in Malaysia, it gives you an excellent overview of Chinese and their part in Malaysian society.

Have fun!
