We visited Mauritius in June'17 for our honeymoon. Probably it is the best time to visit. The bookings were done from traveltriangle.com. It included to and fro flights + resort + sightseeing.
The resort is located in the extreme west end of Mauritius. We had chosen the superior sea-front room which was on the 1st floor. We stayed for 5 days here.
We were welcomed with a mock-tail and a wet towel to make ourselves relaxed from the tiredness of the journey.
The view from the room was great. From the balcony, we could view the Indian ocean! It was amazing.
There are various leisure options like swimming pool, gym, chess, tennis etc. It has a small playhouse too for children.
Beach-chairs and umbrellas are laid throughout the place. The peaceful atmosphere can be enjoyed at night and the sound of the waves amplifies the awesomeness of the time.
Coming to the food, it was great. We had an option of various cuisines including Indian cuisines everyday. For non-vegetarian people, the variety is way too high. On an average, there are around 10 desserts included in the buffet, most of them had eggs as one of the ingredient. So, if you are a pure vegetarian, ask for the egg-less ones beforehand.
The room quality was superb. One thing to keep in mind is that they provide 500ml water bottles per day per person, which is way less than required. The water in the menu card is too costly, so we used to buy the water bottles from a nearby shop.
Yes, there are some small shops nearby where you can buy stuffs required for daily needs.
The staff is very courteous and disciplined.
There are water-activities like scuba-diving, kayaking, glass-boat ceiling etc. being provided in the resort, of course at an extra cost. There is a small souvenir shop too in the resort. Also, a spa center is there in the resort, which we did not visit.
We have surely packed a truckload of memories while staying here and enjoying the place on our honeymoon.
Bottom line: the resort is great, go ahead and consider this one if you are planning for a Mauritius trip.
