Beautiful riad in the middle of the medina. comfortable beds, good shower and great breakfast on the rooftop terrace with a 360 degrees view of essaouira and the ocean. We recommend staying here to everyone!

A long overdue review for our visit Jan 2016. The ryad is nice and the new owner is lovely; very sweet and helpful. The ryad is centrally located and has a gorgeous view from the roof where wonderful breakfasts were served. Breakfast included eggs which was welcome after all the bread everywhere else. We were warmly greeted by the owner, served treats and a nice beverage and given a map and oriented to the town. She made some great recommendations as well. We quite enjoyed Essaouira which was more laid back and chill. The ryad is a bit difficult to find down a tiny alley but the helpful person who helped bring our bags by cart (recommended) asked along the way and we got there without problem.

This riad really is a "safe haven" in a peaceful part of the medina. The roof terrace offers fantastic views during breakfast and if you just fancy chilling out and catching some rays on the sun loungers. Staff are so attentive and more than happy to help with any enquiries. Jerome and Carol are amazing people and full of knowledge. We were given recomendations for dinner each night and they were spot on too! Rooms were clean and decorated tastefully.
Can't recommend this riad highly enough.

We (2 people) stayed here for two nights. The host (Carol) was just awesome! She always was in close touch with us via email before our arrival wanting to know when we would arrive so they could prepare for our arrival. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely housekeeper (I believe she speaks primarily French) and we were shown our room. After settling in we made our way to the terrace to meet our host Carol who is originally from France. We were treated with refreshments. Carol's first language is French but was very still helpful and understandable in English. We unfortunately did not get to meet her husband during our stay though, I'm sure he would have been equally as helpful. Apparently Carol's husband would be doing all the greeting/instructions if English is preferred but Carol did a great job still! She gave us a map and the breakdown of the medina and recommendations for restaurants etc etc - very helpful! She also made sure we were happy with our room right in the beginning. The riad on the inside is very beautiful and has a great architectural build. I would suggest booking a room where the wall that seperates the bathroom from the bedroom is completely sealed at the top. Carol was kind enough to let us keep our baggage at the riad after check out time as we had a later bus in the day back to Marrakesh and didn't want to drag our bags around.

We stayed ten days here in January in the highest riad in essaouira in the heart of the medina the views from the terrace give 360 degree sea views and are worth it for the view alone. Breakfast was spectacular different each day with a breath taking view of waves crashing on rocks. At night we took a bottle of wine and had romantic moments gazing at the stars and naming each constellation incredible. Don't forget sunbathing in privacy on the sun kissed expansive terrace the the Moroccan themed authentic boutiques style hotel rooms overlooking a quaint square. Silver tapioca serving sweet Moroccan mint tea and baklava. Our host Carol from Framce and Layla from Morocco were super pleasant sorted out our taxis to and from the airport extremely handy also carol gave us recommendations for the best restaurants and I know my food get recommendations were above par. We are returning one day, inshallah.
