The waiter couldn't find our booking, so not an enthusiastic welcome. Once the booking had been found, (FOH had expected us the day before, despite the day being clear in our email exchange) a big apology ensued. It's a pleasant place to sit, small with interesting decoration. The front of house guy was friendly and the waiter attentive . We were presented with bread and olives and then a rather delicious cauliflour with cream taster. We chose the Moroccan soup - 'The soup for both of us, please.' Unfortunately the waiter's English interpreted that as one soup between two, placed in the middle of the table, which was a little tricky as it included vermicelli. However, it was very tasty. Note to selves on the ambiguity of language. Main courses were enjoyable, but I was disappointed that the fish of the day wasn't available at 7.00pm. I had the monk fish which was good, but not outstanding. Partner was very pleased with his. Would visit again.

We stumbled across the restaurant after trying to go to the neighbouring Silvestro (which was closed) and were not disappointed!
The slow cooked lamb tangia was mouth watering and the big king prawns on lentils memorable.
As well as the staff being very helpful and attentive, they have a good selection of tasty local wines from the nearby Argan valley, resulting in an excellent evening.

While visiting Essaouira with a tour group this was recommended by a fellow traveler.
Crab ravioli was magnificent, portion size was 3 but still satisfying. Our appetizer was a goat cheese with salmon & fresh berries, the combination just married so well. The apple tart (French toast) was off the charts.

We visited in January and some of the high-rated restaurants were closed but we finally found this one and had a very nice meal. Much the standard Moroccan fare but good quality and service.
