Lovely rooms, beautiful infinity pool and gardens. Very relaxing place for a holiday. Staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious and they baked us a fabulous birthday cake. It was our second visit and we will definitely be back!

I came here because the reviews were so good & I have little more to add - except that under a 40° sun the pool area is fabulous - cool water with total peace - people reading their books in the pool, & a wonderful view from the pool water over trees & flowering bushes.
No negatives except lack of true Moroccan cooking but Essouira is 15 minute drive
- house taxi costs approx 15-20€ per return per person so not cheap.
Apart the wonderful flowering bushes the local bird life ( feathered variety) is a delight -
as are the non-feathered clientele variety.

Dear Patrick,

We have been glad to welcome you in our little paradise! Thank you very much for your review and your advices. In order to give a complete information to our readers, we can add that we offer every evening a set up Moroccan menu (with tajines, couscous, etc.), besides our choices "à la carte". Also, the exact rate for a round trip with our shuttle to Essaouira is 175 MAD (around 16€) per room (and not per person).
We wish you a very good trip back home!

This place is gorgeous. Really beautifully landscaped and surrounded by stunning gardens and views across the river and countryside beyond. We were slightly concerned about it being a family hotel, as we were a couple looking for peace and quiet, but we needn't have feared as there is a separate, 'calm' adult pool, which was very peaceful with plenty of sun loungers. The children we saw at lunch were enjoying a quiet lunch on the patio area with their families. All very civilised! The food was delicious and there was a choice of 'healthy options', which suited us very well with a glass or 2 of organic Essaouiran rose wine. We just visited for the day (as a brief escape from the hustle and bustle of Essaouira) and our visit was well-organised for us by Camille at reception, who arranged our transfer from the town and back. To end a great day, we both had a very relaxing massage in their spa. Highly recommend! We would return and hope to stay there next time.

Enough of buzzy Marrakech's and Essaouira's medinas ... Time to enjoy the paradise gardens, healthy and exquisite food and jazzy music in 'Le jardins de Douars' a 'silent' resort with child friendly accommodations.
Lay back and relax while the most attentive staff pamper there guests.

We (2a and 2c) stayed here for 10 nights in August 2015, taking advantage of the new Easyjet route from London Luton. The hotel and its grounds are stunning and we all enjoyed exploring them and sitting, relaxing in their many beautiful areas. Our room (a family room with terrace) was also just what we hoped for. Truly Moroccan with a touch of luxury. The staff were all lovely especially the ladies in the spa (which is a must) and the lads running the small terrace bar. We couldn't fault them. The restaurant meals were limited as you would expect as it just has a small menu but we enjoyed every meal we ate there and it's easy to venture out into Essaouria. Our only real criticism of the hotel was the segregation of the family and adult only pools. As we visited during the main summer holiday period, a number of parents left their older children (say 10 yrs +) by the family pool whilst they sat some 5 minutes away by the very relaxed adult only pool. As a family with younger children, who needed help with swimming, the family pool, on a daily basis turned into an episode of the 'Lord of the Flies' with packs of tweens/teenagers left without supervision from either staff or parents.
Perhaps during peak school periods the family pool might need a lifeguard to prevent such antisocial behaviour in the future? Other than that, we all enjoyed our stay but I would be reluctant to stay again until my own children were older.

Dear guest,

We warmly thank you for your feedback about your stay 1 year before. We are glad you enjoyed most of your stay amongst us! We apologize if during your stay some parents did not take care of their kids as they should have done. Even if this issue is very rare, we will consider your idea of having a lifeguard in order to substitute parents. Meanwhile, this is something which is difficult to afford for a small charming hotel like us.

We wish you a very good summer!
