After the bush, back to the civilization. From a North American point of view, nothing exceptional. However, near the beach, the craft market, Tug restaurant and a beautiful part of Swakopmund. Comfortable beds and bathroom. A very nice breakfast. To be welcomed in german and to find a german newspaper in the middle of Africa is also a part of the trip !!

Adequate accomodation in a very central position, more like a seaside guesthouse than a small hotel. Friendly staff, good wifi and an ample choice at breakfast. In easy reach of shops and restaurants.

We used Hotel Pension Rapmund again during October 2017 for our 10 day Swakopmund holiday.

Great location - close to the town centre and the Mole beach is not too far either.

The breakfast, included in the tariff, has a wonderful German flavor. The service in the Breakfast Room is also of a high standard.

We used to rent a car during our stay in Swakopmund, but we decided not to rent anymore. Everything is on your doorstep and all outdoor activity companies will pick you up from Hotel Rapmund.

Way to basic ;simple conveniences like a hair dryer or tv would make a pleasant stay given that internet is on and off:So I decided to braid my hair today and needed a pair of scissors of which they unapologetically refuse to borrow me still trying to come to terms with that.God forbid if your piece of clothing got ruined and you needed a needle and threat to sew it ...will they borrow you ...good luck
Despite this the location is very convenient and a walk to all the amenities. My view:if it’s the only place with availability then go ahead and book

We were allocated a "family room", sharing some facilities with a total stranger in the adjoining room. it was located on the ground floor, under a stairwell, and had no outside windows you could see out of - high up, and obscure glass. THere were rusty marks on the wall. THe curtains didn't fit, so you couldn't block out the outside lights at night. There were no toiletries in the bathroom. Reception was closed from 7pm every evening. They had no gluten free bread or cereal for my breakfast, despite having requested
this in writing in advance, and having mentioned the requirement to the grumpy receptionist on check-in. We were so disgusted we tried to find another hotel that evening, as the Rapmund claimed to have no alternative room available, but unfortunately the hotels we asked were also full.
