I stayed at Swakop Lodge in the middle of an overland trip, and it was a welcome change from camping. I was in a 10 bed dorm for four nights and it was comfortable and clean. There was a hot shower in the room with a good volume of water.
There was a fairly good buffet breakfast for 70 Namibian dollars, probably a bit on the expensive side, but worth it if you fill up on food for the day. A good laundry service was also provided.
Upstairs there was a bar and nightclub and the six pool tables were a good bonus too. However, if you are an early to bed person this might not be the best place to stay as the noise of the club goes on until the early hours as the bar fills up with locals.
The service was good, and the activities centre downstairs was very helpful in providing details for all of the adventure activites Swakopmund has to offer.More
