The room was spacious & clean, although sheets were torn & slightly stained. The overall hotel is shabby & in need of TLC. I've stayed in cheaper & far better places during my stay. Look around, you will get better value for money. Staff weren't that engaging, but will call you at 7am & push every tour at you!

I visited this hotel as a part of my Peru trip. The personal was always ready to help and answer any question (we've used Google Translator to overcome the language barrier). The room was clean, the Internet was blazing-fast, the heater worked as supposed. The staff was pleasingly assistive and responsive across every single issue. The breakfast was a buffet as opposed to kinda traditional bread-butter-tea triplet. At the entrance they have a warm tea for every guest :) Obviously, I've liked this place.

Having stayed at terra viva in cusco we were pleased to the quality and cleanliness the same.
Well situated for exploring Puno. quiet rooms in a good location. The desk staff were helpful as we're those in the kitchen.free wi Fi in our room worked ok and computers available with no charge in reception.cash point directly opposite the hotel was useful.
Good breakfast and obliging staff.

Room Tip: I would imagine you would be fine with any room due to the position of the hotel down a quiet side street away from the hustle and bustle of the town.it was very busy when we went and we were not disappointed

We stayed at Puno Terra for 2 nights as it was included in our tour. We were charged 60 USD per night, but found out that you could find the same room on booking.com for 35 USD. So if we were charged the correct price we'd might have been a bit more positive.

Pros:
- Close to the main square and street
- Reasonably fast wi-fi

Cons:
- Really rundown and would need a total makeover
- The room was really cold when we came (about 12 degrees). The room doesn't have any heating, so we were offered a small, noisy heater that got the room quite warm but produced horrible air.
- The shower didn't have hot water, only medium. You really need a hot shower after being out in the cold in Puno
- The staff hardly knows a word english
- The interior of the room is really, really basic

So if we'd got the room for 30 USD I'd given a 3 star, but considering the price we paid it was a total scam. So we'd never return.

I stayed here with an Intrepid / Highland Tour group. It was a decent little hotel. There is internet access in reception. Very clean and tiled throughout with a lovely sunny breakfast area. The location is a bit hidden down a side street and you could easily get lots it you don't take a hotel card with you. They looked after our main bags while we did a one night stay on an island on Lake Titicaca. I had a terrible nights sleep though which may have been due to the altitude. Puno is at 3800m (12,000ft).
