i remember loving this coffee place in the past... such a disappointment on my last visit, and definitely will be the last... so what happened? food is not bad but very expensive. wifi is free for orders totalling to P150 for an hour or so but is slow. my friend and i ordered meals amounting to about P1,500 and you'd think they'd be a little considerate extending the wifi? noooooooo!!! you'd think the service will be a little better? nooooooo!!! and when we talked to the manager (small lady with pixie cut hair) to give some suggestions, you'd think she'd appreciate? nooooooo!!! in fact, she was very arrogant and "corrected" our suggestion. tsk tsk tsk... and you'd think a hole-in-the wall cafe with quirky interiors will make it worth your while? noooooo!!! good thing parking is very hard and that there are other cafes in the vicinity - coffee bean and tea leaf, UCC..

Ortigas on weekdays is so busy, full of people walking on the sidewalks and bumper to bumper traffic situation on the roads. I never thought that I'll find a cute place at the heart of Ortigas that offers good ambiance and affordable food and beverage offerings. Subspace is just walking distance from Robinsons Galleria. As we entered the coffee house we were fascinated with their ceiling decoration of chairs, artsy wall with art pieces and the pink metal accordion fence. They serve yummy meals like sandwiches, pasta and pizza breads and coffee & tea based drinks -- the prices are just right. The coffee house personnel are also nice and very accommodating. We love everything about Subspace and will definitely come back in the coming months.

This place is cozy, warm, and isolated. It has pretty fast Wi-Fi, ports everywhere so you can work, surf, or watch movies. Bestsellers are Subspace Classic (milktea), Caramel Latte, and Icy Coffee. Staff are super friendly too!! :) Please keep this place a secret so I can still have my coffee in peace the next time I visit. Hehe :)

Visited Subspace to partake of Wadough's cupcakes, part of their dessert line up. It is such a fun place! The decor is mish-mash but works well: chairs hanging on the ceiling, metal grates, chalkboard art and colorful couches fill the cozy cafe. There are some Japanese books/ manga on the shelves and paper cups decorated by patrons adorn the bar. Wi-fi signal is strong. :)

Food: They have a Bacon Series! I ordered the Bacon Slab (200p) and got exactly that: a thick slab of smoky flavored bacon served with soft-cooked Japanese rice, Dijon mustard and sliced tomatoes. Simple and scrumptious. I will return to try the other bacon dishes.

Drinks: a standard assortment of caffeinated drinks including their signature Purple Potato Latte (challenge their barista with Latte Art requests!). For this visit, though, we tried a couple of hot tea variants- Harney & Sons fine tea in Rooibos and Pomegranate were perfect accompaniments to the dessert- cleansed our palates in between bites and at only 70+p per bag, were good for at least 2 steepings. I also tried the Iced Green lemon Tea but it really tasted synthetic and almost medicinal. Not worth the 120p or so.

Dessert: Salted Caramel Brownies were crisp, large enough for 2 to share, and you could reaaaally taste the salt. The star of our visit of course, were Wadough's cupcakes in Red Velvet, Jack Daniels and Kahlua. Each cupcake approximately 85p, but big on flavor that you could share it with someone, especially the rich dark chocolatey Jack Daniels.

Subspace warrants a return, and that will definitely happen soon.
