Been in the hunt for the best Chinese food in the Cebu City area, and had high hopes for this upscale in appearance venue. Admittedly, this is just one meal, and their menu is large. For me, though, the sweet and sour pork was neither that sweet, not that sour... it was bogged down in the syrup and the taste ran towards some dilution of peanut of peanut or... something? The meal size was - even having ordered "Small" - was very large, I couldn't finish it (but didn't really want to anyway). Pricing and service was in line with the restaurant and service was very good.

Large, well established Chinese Restaurant on 2nd floor of Gaisano Country Mall. Upon entering, you will encounter a towering Happy Buddha figure. We ordered 3 small sized (S) dishes: scallops with cattlefish [sic: cuttlefish aka squid] and vegetables (asparagus & ginger); Chinese style beef tenderloin; and house specialty tofu (with broccoli). The S size dishes could have been medium sized at another restaurant, and the food was plentiful. The scallops dish was the tastiest, although a bit too salty for my taste, as was the tofu. Good veggies (asparagus & broccoli). Beef was a little too sweet and my least favorite. Went for a late lunch (after 1:30 pm) and we were the only customers in the large restaurant. Total bill came out to Php 1,000, which I thought was good value. All in all, a pleasant lunch.
