Went for dinner on this popular local barbecue restaurant with friends. Sunday evening finds this place full up to the road side. Mostly family and youngster. The price are cheap, service is relatively fast and set-up basic for a Filipino cheap eats restaurant. Plastic furniture and floor in loose stones. First time to see this kind of local restaurant inside city with this kind of flooring. Interesting but for a food place, this is kind of not acceptable. I was expecting different barbecue taste but it seem the same as other barbecue street food. I think it's the very competitive pricing and the open public ambiance which attracts the big crowd. Interesting.

If you want another venue for your chicken barbeque escapades, try this place in the Capitol site area near Paulito's STK. The price is affordable. Live band is also available in certain days of the week.

When you have limited budget and want to taste the best barbeque in Cebu, visit Yakski and you can’t go wrong. You taste the best barbeque but you don’t leave broke, in fact p100 can go a long way. If you are a fan of pork barbeque, your p100 can buy you 4 pcs and a cup of rice. A chicken barbeque worth p80 can be shared by 2 persons.

I like the cut of the pork, thin and even. The sauce complements the meat, making the taste nearly perfect! There were 2 choices of sauce, original and spicy, I love spicy.

Just a note, do not come after 630pm as the place is always full or if you want to come from 630pm to 9pm, be ready to wait. The place is open till 12MN. Do not also expect air-conditioned resto with wooden tables and chairs. Just expect the best barbeque that wouldn’t break the bank!

If you are craving for barbecue, this is the place to visit. The restaurant near Capitol site has no aircon and parking might be a hassle during peak hours but the pork and chicken barbecue are one of the best for me. Its clean, juicy and perfectly cooked. One thing I dont like is their chili sauce which is sweetish and spicy, too sweet to my liking but if you pair the barbecue with vinegar, a bit of soy sauce and crushed chili, its perfect.

For two persons, I paid USD 6.00 for an order of 2 chicken thighs and 4 pork barbecue, rice and bottled water.
