The Village Market in Aurora New York has excellent coffee and bake goods. It is a great place to pickup last second items to make your day really special.
We stopped for a cup of coffee, a cup of soup and a quick sandwich from the deli. This is a nice little place. I picked up a couple bottles of sauces and a some cups that were quite interesting. Great little place to catch a quick bite to eat.
Gosh darn. This is the cutest little grocery you’ll ever tour but don’t try to buy anything there, as it’s hard to find something you’d actually want.
Instead of a high school dropout, the person checking you out is so well groomed that they probably go from the store to a book club where they read Jumpa Lahiri novels and knit using organically sourced wool. All the groceries are perfectly arranged on the shelves as if no one ever buys them and there’s not a speck of dirt anywhere. Bring your camera and post a picture to Instagram and leave because there’s nothing to buy in this place. As someone who goes there when I’m staying at one of the inns, could you please have a better selection of basics that would suit a traveler? I don’t need locally sourced kombucha. A bad McIntosh Apple that’s tiny and organic and has come off of a tree in someone’s backyard isn’t really an edible fruit. Just because yogurt is full fat and made in Ithaca doesn’t mean it’s any good. The selection of baked goods is pretty but the croissant is a piece of white bread in a croissant shape and the scone is, well, a hockey puck.
The reason to buy local is because it’s fresher, better and more interesting, not just because it’s local. Would a Chobani yogurt, an orange and decent baked good be such a crime?
Great selection of goods. Clean environment
Friendly personnel. wonderful quaint little market
Not too many of this type of small village markets left
Definitely stop in whenever you are in Aurora NY
Pick up a coffee and muffin and head down to the park by the lake. Or, simply walk the small "downtown" area - up one side of the street and down the other.
Stopped in quickly to pick a specific local item - the price was high, but the people were very friendly!
