The location is really great, but that's the only good thing about Megapolis.

We stayed in room #6 and it wasn't a good experience. There's a skylight in the room with no blackout curtain, so the room is always bright.

It rained in Moscow during our visit, and there were water drops all over the room. The beds are soft but the duvets are not long enough to cover your body.

No breakfast and access to hotel is a little weird.

If you are in a low-budget trip, maybe you can consider it. Clean, awesome location, serious staff. But don't expect too much and DON'T STAY IN ROOM #6.

Incredibly fantastic location. We had the big room and it was perfect. We were allowed an early check in which was great. We had a great view from our window as we were on the 7th floor.

The hotel REALLY needs to add that to find the entry go to the little lane behind number 4 Taverskaya, and directly around that corner is a tiny, tiny brown door with a tiny sign that says, Megapolis Taverskaya. That is the entry. That way people might find it more easily.

This is a nice little hotel, its location is great, the staff is friendly, and the beds are wonderful. The room layouts are a little weird, and the shower is tiny. There is also a very noisy waste water disposal pump in the bath room. Overall it is a nice hotel.

Like other reviewers, I had some difficulty finding this place, but there is an easy way. My taxi driver had never heard of it, or of the Yves Rocher shop right outside.
The best way to find it is go to the corner of Tverskaya and Kamergersky Lane ( a lot of roadworks here in June 2016), and you will see Yves Rocher. Walk about 20m to the right along Kamergersky, then turn right through an archway opening onto a quiet back street (with tw o small minimarts on the left). Turn right for about 5m and you will see a door with the sign 'Megapolis Hotel'.
Ring the buzzer and open the door into a small space like a lift; open the other door, walk up about 7 steps and press the lift button to go to the 7th floor, where there is another buzzer and door to reception, and you're there! It's a little bit complicated, but once you're there it's a different world, very clean and quiet.
I spent two nights in Room 6 on the top floor. This room had no English-language TV news channels, and the 'window' was like a large porthole very high up, allowing natural light but no view.
I moved to Room 2, which had a window with view and CNN on the TV.
The location could hardly be better, as it's no more than 10 minutes' walk to Red Square or the Bolshoi Theatre ( closer still
to the underground mall at Okhotny Ryad metro station), yet it's very quiet thanks to the double-glazed windows.
One drawback is that the reception area is very small and the only place where you can relax outside the rooms is a small seating area on the upper floor.
It was a bit expensive at Rub53,220 for 7 nights, but the location, cleanliness and convenience make it worth the expense.

This is quite a tough place to find. You need to go through a gate into a car park and it's on your right and behind you.

It's basically one floor of an office block that's been turned into a hotel. It's quite nicely decorated but not luxurious. There are no food or drink facilities, but everything is nearby.

But for quite how central this place is. Right in the middle of Moscow. For the price you really couldn't ask for anything more.
