Very majestic and nice paintings on the wall. Not sure about others but I would prefer this type of church( Russian Orthodox ) much more to the usual Catholic Church we see. The paintings on the walls have stories to tell. A Christian who is well familiar with stories from the Bible will be able to identify and tell the stories of some of the paintings on the interior walls.

It is also here that I learn that Orthodox Church do not usually use musical instruments but are dependent on a choir with various tones. We listened to the church choir sing and the sound surround system inside this church was fantastic - bass and treble go hand in hand well.

This centuries old church is also conveniently located almost next to the famous Spasskaya Tower of the Kremlin as well as the Gum Mall and Red Square. For someone who's looking to shop at the Gum Mall or explore the Red Square or the museum nearby, this place is also recommended. However, a journey into this St Basils Cathedral can take up to an hour or more. For those wanting to visit the Kremlin, its best if you come here after your visit to the Kremlin as the Spasskaya Tower is the exit!

Nevertheless it's highly recommended for those who have not dropped by. This is one of the main bucket list item for those interested in coming to Russia!

When one hears Russia , this is the first image that enters the mind. I’ve always wished to see this iconic architecture and now I’ve finally made it . Very impressed although I thought it would actually be a bit bigger . Not disappointed. It’s a must see for anyone that comes to Moscow.

I visited st basil while I was in Moscow for the world cup. I had to stand in a line for an hour (I would recommend buying tickets before hand) and it was more than worth it. The architecture is amazing, and the wall/roof art inside is superb(see images)

Absolutely beautiful and fantastic cathedral, full of history, surrounded by the red square and the walls. Must visit if you're in town.
