Kazan Cathedral - Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God - is one of the largest temples in St. Petersburg. The Kazan Cathedral is a neoclassical, stately building, modeled on the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican. It was built on the Nevsky Prospect in 1801-1811 by the architect A.N. Voronikin . This beautiful cathedral is distinguished by unusual architecture. Thus, it is a place often visited by tourists who additionally have the opportunity to relax on the square surrounding the shoulders of the building. Beautiful, majestic building, interesting interior. Worth visiting.

I went on Sunday and attended the mass too. It was long process but there was warmth inside the cathedral. Architectural Beauty. Must see attraction.

Just walking past, you wouldn’t think this is a church. Maybe an old parliament or something. The architecture is spectacular though. Make sure you have a wide angle lens for your photos.

Lovely interiors and exteriors; perhaps not as impressive inside as it is outside but still amazing. Definitely worth a visit!

This place is just marvellous. We've been there in February so it was not too crowded. It was stunning to just stand in front of the cathedral and look at it. We spent an hour over there. Definitely worth it. Also, it is very central, located right on the popular Nevsky Prospekt, the main avenue and one of the best-known streets in Russia
