Spent 3 nights at Hotel Hokke Club Sapporo and found it to be perfect. Strategically located between the Sapporo station and Odori Park, just meters away from the Sapporo Clock Tower and Sapporo TV tower. Hokkaido Government building and Botanic Gardens are very close by too. One can also walk right up to the Sapporo Beer Museum and down to the Tanukikoji Shopping Street. It was beautiful walking around with the snow around but can be slippery at times. Many shopping malls in and around the Sapporo station.
Staff were very polite and friendly. Room was small as expected in Japan but clean and comfy.
Very happy with the hotel and highly recommended.

My mistake booking a smoking room, unfortunately could not put us in non smoking was booked out, however they moved us next morning with no reminding. Much appreciated as a smoking room in Japan makes an ash tray smell fresh. Gag.
Breakfast was fantastic, one of the best, and another reason we like hotels in Sapporo as they try that bit harder. Salads crisp, scrambled eggs soft and very yellow, and juicy.Snow crab and egg custard perfect, and morish. Miso soup full of flavour, not watered down. Really the whole meal, in almost tapis plate style, was the best we have had in the many trips we have done to Japan.
The Onsen is really a hot pool resembling an Onsen, but still better than nothing, and soaks the tired muscles in hot water. Love the shampoo bar (tried the "protect" brand and the menthol really warmed up my head, thought what hair I had left, might just leave too - but all was well). A nice scrub down offering more room than the rooms bathroom, so hot tub area very good.
Would recommend, and so close to JR etc. via underground mall (winter bonus). We have always stayed down Suskino area, so appreciate being closer to central Sapporo.

This hotel is mainly catered for Japanese so I can strongly feel the discrimination of service. Japanese are well treated with care while foreigners who look like Chinese (even though I'm Singaporean) was given a cold shoulder.
One plus point is that there's a hot bath within the hotel, coupled with a good location that is near the Sapporo JR station.
Given the choice, I won't be staying here again.

I enjoyed staying in this hotel very much. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the hotel's location is very convenient for getting from the station, sightseeing or shopping. There are plenty of reasonably-priced restaurants and convenience stores around. The room was a good size by Japanese standards, and very clean. The hotel's hot bath was basic but offered a true Japanese experience. Overall a very hospitable place to stay in Sapporo.

Room tip: Rooms facing the street get noise from patrons at nearby restaurants till about 11 p.m.

We chose this Hotel as it was reasonably priced during the Snow Festival period and half way between the Sapporo Train station and the Odori Park (where the Snow Festival was located). Our room was small (typical in Japan) and clean. The room contained a fridge, desk, hanging pegs and a double bed. The foyer is clean and quite open with a new red awning over the entrance. In the basement was a communal bath and a restaurant serving breakfast (we did not have time for either). Value for money and easy access for the Odori Snow sculptures just a couple of blocks away.

Room tip: Choose the non-smoking rooms if you can. Could not get a twin bed room during our stay.
