Chances are you won't be seeing this cafe in everyone's itinerary to Kyoto. Selfishly, I want to keep it that way and keep it all a secret. But Moan is beautiful and deserves the attention. It sits right on top of Yoshida Hill. Yes, there's a bit of a climb. But let's say that my wife (who doesn't do hikes) made it up (not without a complaint however). You'll soon realize after your climb that this was all worth it once you see the wooden house sitting all alone. And when you get seated on the 2nd floor and look out the window, you'll understand why this place is so solemn.
